A saint in the Greek is "Hagios".

A saint is a " called out one", committed to the Lord.

Saints aren't perfect, they are candidates for perfection.

All the responsibility doesn't lay with God.
We have to position ourselves properly in Him. ( a continually surrendered life)

"Holy", means possession, not performance.

Hebrews 11 points out, that even with all the mistakes these people made, faith could still link them with God and His promises.

The temple vision, Ezekiel 44, is the prophecy of the restoration of worship by the saints.

The temple had an inner court and an outer court.

The outer court, sacrifices were made to meet the needs of the people.

The inner court, there was only one piece of furniture, and altar or table of incense. And only one thing went on...

These two courts were designed for the saint to look in two different directions. The outer court was designed to look at human need, and to minister unto Gods plan to human need.
The inner court was designed to look upward to God and God alone.....

If we don't minister to God, we are unprofitable servants.

Given that saint comes from hagios, it means "holy one", not "called out one".

The reason we are to pray the "Lords prayer", the way Jesus said, is God has chosen in His covenants with us to make us the agents to bring heavens norm down. And making Gods will on earth as it is in heaven, and making Gods kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.

It's nothing new to have Gods word of promise contradicted by circumstance. What the word of promise awaits is someone who no matter what the circumstances will say, " Forever, OLord, thy word is settled in heaven. "

We have a greater responsibility today than those of the OT days. " To whom much is given, much is required. "
We know more about Gods faithfulness to Himself, and His promises that those OT people did....

Psalms 84:3, our "Resting" place is at Gods altar, in His house. An altar is a place of death. It's a place where Gods rights are recognized and re-established. It's a place where our lack of rights are recognized, and our absence of any negotiating position. It's where self must die, and where God alone is master.

The problem with alot of saints, is they try to skirt the altar, and say, God save this much for me.

We die to "self" , daily.

Most Christians think that if you are really in Gods will, it means the elimination of trouble......

If you are in Gods will, You better plan on somebody hating you.....

If you don't have any enemies trying to do us in, we aren't doing anything for God.....

Some people think there is no responsibility and they are saved without putting in effort.

But when we confess Christ then we have responsibility to maintain our salvation for if not how do we really care about our walk with Christ.

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

Jesus will turn away the people who did not want to be Christlike but they believed they were still saved.

They would not let go of the flesh.

And there are millions of these people that say they cannot abstain from sin denying the power thereof and love sin more than God.

But I am sure they toned it down but a little leaven leavens the whole bunch.

Do you understand the proper response to start , maintain, and complete, the relationship with Him to be " a continually surrendered life"?

Gods book is full of forgiveness to those who tasted it, and still failed.

If the concept that we can fall and never get up again was true, mountains of truth and scripture must fall.

There is no salvation in changing your behavior. If there's any change, it's the result of the relationship.

That isn't true. Being chosen is all about what God does to us and for us. We don't do anything to be chosen.

Thats my bad.

I mixed the presalvation act of God chosing a small group out from among a larger group that aren't chosen, with the post salvation responsibility for us to continue to faithe into Him.

They were two separate sentiments.

1) It's a mistake to think we reach a place in our journey, that "Valleys of weeping" aren't part of the trip. .....

2) The trick of the enemy is to collapse your spirit when the valley looms on the horizon. And, if that doesn't work, his next tactic is to try and make you stay in the valley.....

3) The devil loves to help people beat themselves to death in their valleys......

4) In Psalm 84, there is no attention to the cause of the valley. It doesn't matter what caused the valley, just keep going forward....

2) some people never come to know Gods ways, they never submit, they never truly come to the altar. They never give up and never quit thinking God is going to be their servant and serve their needs. And they never die, which is what you must do at an altar.

Thanks, though I don't see that meaning quite the same thing as "have any claim".

Isaiah 50:11,
This is what we shouldn't do. This means, the natural tendency of every man is, when the pressure comes, the darkness settles in, when the storm hits the ship, and when you are surrounded on all sides, is to try and deliver ourselves. That's just human nature. We start striking matches......

We're just prone to, in darkness, to get the flesh in motion, instead of just standing still and do what God tells us is the answer in order that the salvation of the Lord might be released.....

If your in darkness, instead of striking matches, offer a deeper surrendered life, and grab hold of Gods word and what He says.

When we learn the ways of God, we shove the match box a little bit more out of reach....
