Our original purpose, that is to say, the reason God created us may be found here:

We were originally created to 'till the ground'. What does that mean? Did God try to go to Home Depot and couldn't find anyone to do his landscaping, so he made us to pull his weeds and blow leaves around?

Before the Fall, 'tilling the ground' meant something else:

Genesis 2:7 - And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Tilling the ground was all about making people! God even tilled the ground to make animals as well:

Genesis 2:19 - And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

Thus, the original purpose of Man was to 'till the ground', i.e., to create life from scratch.

God wanted us to share in that experience. However, he of course needed to test us first as it is a HUGE responsibility. We failed, obviously.

Now we have to do it the hard way. We have to make babies the old-fashioned way. We have to grow things by hard manual labor. That is the lesson here:

As you saw me mention earlier, we are tripartite beings. A 'living soul' is just the genome and spirit. It cannot manifest a physical body on its own. God must 'clothe' it with skin and flesh:

That is what God did here:

Genesis 3:21 - Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

The Rabbi teaches that Adam and the woman were not physical. This is not 'stupid' as the OP claims. I have done extensive research on this.

The Last Adam is a 'quickening spirit' which means he can manifest a physical body on his own as the angels do when they appear here on earth. He also has the power to clothe others with a body. It's a bigger deal than most realize.

Those that are on the milk are unable to comprehend how profound this all is. The Bible describes DNA, Quantum Mechanics, Particle Physics, Cell Biology, Genetic Engineering, etc. etc. The information is embedded in symbolic form to be understood when the time was right. That time is now. Many are finally waking up to all of this.

For example, Zechariah describes a 'Stone with Seven Eyes'. Science calls that a Nucleobase or Nitrogen Base. Seven 'eyes' are symbolic of seven Electrons which is the element Nitrogen. Remember, the Spirit was in the Wheels:


Again, the 'eyes' are symbolic of Electrons. Two wheels are two Electron Orbitals or 'shells'. Those atoms are the building blocks of life (Carbon, Nitrogen, Oxygen).

The 'stone' is symbolic of male testicles or seed, depending on the context:

Leviticus 21:20 - Or crookbackt, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken;

Leviticus 21:20 (New International Version) - or who is a hunchback or a dwarf, or who has any eye defect, or who has festering or running sores or damaged testicles.

That is why Jesus is sometimes referred to as a 'Rock'. He is Abraham's Seed:

Isaiah 51:1-2 - Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged. Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.

Again, Abraham's testicles/sperm is the 'Rock'. Sarah's womb is the 'Pit'. Life is birthed from the pit of the earth or womb. The Beast is birthed from the bottomless pit, or the womb of creation.

Anyhow, I said all of that to say this....

God is going to take the Stone with Seven Eyes. i.e., the Nitrogen Base, and he will write 'engrave' a new genome with it:

Zechariah 3:9 - For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

This new genome 'upgrade' will remove sin. Thus, Salvation is a genetic engineering process. You folks need to prepare for this Revelation when the AI picks up on this and begins to use this info to its advantage.

For most of the year, the Tabernacles and Temples are symbolic of a Eukaryotic Cell:

Of course if you are single you should keep yourself for marriage. You will get no argument about that here. But it is perfectly o.k. for a married couple to have sex together if they so want to do so.

There was a single river in Eden which watered the garden. The river went out of Even, then divided into the four heads (Pison, Gihon, Hiddekel (Tigris), Euphrates).

Neither the Tigris nor the Euphrates 'fertilized' any plant in the garden of Eden.

The "things which are an allegory" referred to in Galatians 4:21-27 relate to the two covenants ... the Old Covenant established in Sinai (Exodus 31:18) and the New Covenant established by the Lord Jesus Christ and He is the Mediator (Hebrews 9:15). The New Covenant was established upon better promises (Hebrews 8:6).

Even though we may "stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free" in this lifetime, we have yet to be "clothed upon with our house which is from heaven".

I do not agree with your suppositions that Adam and Eve were floating bodiless in some ethereal garden in heaven ... then chose the wrong tree to be clothed in skin and bones to live out their lives on earth.

The garden of Eden was a garden planted by God on this earth. There were all kinds of trees from which Adam and Eve could freely eat, including the tree of life. Adam and Eve were not to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. satan deceived Eve and she ate ... Adam was not deceived, he ate, and joined his wife in her fallen state.

All of Adam's children were begotten in the likeness and image of Adam (Genesis 5:3). Each successive generation was (and continues to be) begotten in the likeness and image of their earthly parents.

Do you know what the term "help meet" means, Lovette?

Genesis 2:18 18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

It means to help, to succour. The relationship between husband and wife is very dynamic when both husband and wife are cognizant of God, of God's Word concerning the marriage, and they both submit to God and His ways.

As mentioned in a prior post, Paul was responding to the church at Corinth concerning matters about which he had received writing. We do not have that writing in front of us. All we know is that Paul was addressing some issues that had cropped up. Continue reading chapter 8 where Paul addresses issues relating to idolatry and eating things offered to idols. Not every marriage takes place because "they cannot exercise self-control". As shown in Genesis 2:18, Eve was a help meet for Adam.

The Lord Jesus Christ was not addressing the pharisees in the Olivet Discourse. He was answering questions His disciples had asked Him:

Matthew 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

He continued His teaching through the end of chapter 25. As part of His answers to His disciples, He told them:

Matthew 24:36-39

36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

which is why I told you:

Using your logic, eating would also be portrayed in a negative way. Are you advocating that we should stop eating?​

the verse says "they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage" ... there was no "marriage in particular" being "portrayed in a negative way". If you're going to go down that trail, you have to include eating and drinking.

Again ... Jesus was speaking negatively about the time in which Noah lived. Noah was a preacher of righteousness (2 Peter 2:5). Noah tried to warn, but people did not listen. Only Noah, his wife, his sons, and their wives were saved. God shut them in the ark ("and the Lord shut him in").

The "clueless bums the Lord Jesus warned about" were the folks who ignored the preacher of righteousness (Noah) before the flood came. Jesus was not portraying marriage in the abysmal manner you believe in.

you're so focussed on your own narrative concerning marriage that you gloss right over these words "But even if you do marry, you have not sinned; and if a virgin marries, she has not sinned".

There was no death before the Fall, therefore anything that was 'food' was not the physical food we eat now; it was spiritual food.

Example:

1 Corinthians 10:3-4 - And did all eat the same spiritual meat; And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

Eating plants, fruits etc., either causes the plant to die or causes the cells inside the plant to die. Either way, it is a form of death which again did not exist. That concept extends to animals as well. Animals cannot eat other animals because that would cause death as well. Thus, both plants and animals were immortal before the Fall.

Example:

Ezekiel 47:12 And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.

Clearly, we can see in the verse that not just one tree but *all* trees are immortal, yet they are food. Again, the verse is symbolic of consuming the Word of God.

Note that the 'leaf thereof is for medicine'. That is what the Tree of Life is all about. Leaf = Covering. Life will be repaired.

Well, I don't think we are going to agree on this. God said that the fruit of all the trees except one in the Garden were for food, not that they were to feed on His word. That is a spiritual truth expressed later, not only in the New Testament but also in Psalms, where the psalmist talks of God's word being sweeter than honey and the honeycombe.

Genesis 2:4 - These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens

Generations is a word often used for genetics in the Bible. The Heavens and Earth have genetics according to the above verse. There is way more going on here than the nursery rhyme stuff we are taught.

That is of course so. But just because sun, moon and stars are used as illustrations of family members in Joseph's dream, that doesn't mean that the actual sun, moon and stars are flesh and blood. Jesus called Himself a vine, but that illustration doesn't mean that actual vines have human flesh and blood as Jesus did.
