Bothers and sisters in Christ,

I have a friend who has closed off the world, she is afraid of being hurt.
Their is not one person that has not hurt her...I tell her it is because she takes everything
the wrong way. It does not matter what you say; she thinks it was said to hurt her.
She stays home alone alot, she hardly even talks to family.
I love her and enjoy her company. We use to do art work together, she is very talented.
I told her so many times, but she told me my work made her's look bad.

Her family told me I was the longest friendship she ever had. ( 8yrs)
Since she was a young girl she has not had many friends.
(She is 53yrs old ) She goes to church and has her whole life.
She thinks she has nothing to offer a friend.
She once told me that is was hard for her to be in my shadow.
I never felt she was...I always thought she shined!
I have been praying for her for about six months,
I have prayed for her with friends from church.
I would love for her to be in my life again, I miss her so much.
I have written her letters telling her how I feel.
She thanked me, but said she wants to be alone.

My prayer is not that she would be my friend again...
although that would be nice...
My prayer is that she would see herself as God sees her,
Wounderful and beautiful.
And that whatever is causing her to not see who she is...
would be removed in Jesus Name.
That she would gain God's perfect love that drives out fear!
And for her confidence to come from Christ.

Thank you, to all those who post a prayer,
and those who pray in silent.
God bless your faithfulness!

Agreed in prayer. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Heavenly Father, I claim Psalms 23 for her.

The LORD is her shepherd; she shall not lack anything that she needs.
He maketh her to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth her beside the still waters.
He restoreth her soul: he leadeth her in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though she walk through the valley of the shadow of death, she will fear no evil: for thou art with her; thy rod and thy staff they comfort her.
Thou preparest a table before her in the presence of her enemies: thou anointest her head with oil; her cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow her all the days of her life: and she will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

In Jesus Name, Amen.
