I think some fervent prayer is in order for our Christian brothers and sisters who have been affected by ISIS here lately, and for those who may be in danger, as well as for their families who are anxious and grieving.
God our Protector, keep safe Your children. Put Your peace in their hearts and trust in Your protection. Deliver them from the enemy. God of Comfort, hold gently the hearts of the families of those who have been martyred. Ease the anxiety of those who do not know of their kidnapped loved ones' whereabouts or condition, and give them peace knowing that their loved ones are in Your perfect and safe hands, whether in life or in death. Lord, block the enemy and his evil ways, as no weapon formed against us shall prosper. God, Who forms the hearts of all, if there be a single open heart among ISIS, fill it with Your compassion and gentleness and turn it away from evil. Use such a heart as testimony of the power of God to other ISIS-hardened hearts. Above all things, may Your perfect will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven. In Jesus' name, we pray.
