Okay, so...
My wife and I have been together for about four years altogether; married for about two and a half.
The winter after we had gotten married we went to Bible school. We were about to go into our third and final year, this October.
...But my wife left, with our two kids and went back to our hometown of Cordova, Alaska to stay with her parents.
I followed to try and work things out, and about a week two weeks later I was served with divorce papers in the mail....
I rightfully except blame for what I did wrong in our relationship to allow it to get to the place that she would want to leave. And I realize what I have done wrong.
I am asking for prayer for my wife, Rachel, that her heart would be changed toward me and toward the Lord. That she would return to Him, and to me. Also for me; for wisdom and guidance, and to keep from despair and discouragement.
Also for our 3 year old boy, Silas and 9month old daughter Aletheia, that they stay safe and un-affected by all of this.
I am confident that the Lord will restore our marriage.
...I just don't know how or when. And that is scary. This is the most faith I have ever had to exercise, and its hard, and scary and very discouraging at times.

Dear brother, I am sorry! :(

Aletheia...we had a little girl who had that name.
Truth. :)

I am praying for the Truth...the person of the Lord Jesus
to woo your wife back to Himself, and thereby to you.
I ask Him for wisdom for you, in how to work things out with Rachel.
I ask for Him to allow you to see Him, so your faith will be strengthened,
and I ask Him to cover your precious little ones so they remain pure
and unaffected by any of this.
May you both be given humility, and may the love you first had
for one another be renewed and enlarged,
for Jesus' sake,
may it be so.

Trials are, by definition, hard to walk through,
but by His grace we learn more and more
and our faith is refined, and the flesh burnt off
as we get through them, not by might, nor by power,
but by His Spirit.

Many blessings. Please come back often, as you wish.
We are your Family, and we love you,
ellie

Father i ask these things in your name that this family might be restored and protected, that they might have a likeness of you. whose to say father but you what goes on in their spiritual life, as creater of the heavens and the earth and stars that reside in the heavens. But still we ask lord for spiritual blessings and awareness for their lives. as our king, our saviour and our god we rely on your faithfulness, may you reign on high forever and ever. AKginger, i just wanted to say i hope you will see the bigger picture. god allows things to happen but this is of course a time of testing. I know i have no room to talk because i do not know your pain but i just wanted to encourage you to keep your eyes on jesus. in times of testing what matters is how we walk in them, my advice is praise god and give thanks for what you have, doing this this is a powerful weapon against the devil

Stay strong in the Lord, and take this time of seperation to search your heart if you are not in a right relationship with God, that can only come from real repentance and faith, and I dont mean the just confess, because I was born a helpless sinner.
What most dont realize is that God is no respector of persons, you can be a good person, but still defiled in your heart, and in bondage to sin, which will make matters worse with your family, but I dont know you and your heart, God does, and wants you to repent of all known sin, first, seek His mercy, then follow Him on the narrow road.
You must be a strong light and example for your family now, get yourself on the correct path, God will bless those who seek Him, and obey His word.
I dont know why your wife left you, and you have no control over her decisions, but a heart made pure through an obedient faith will, come to realize the error of thier ways, God is waiting for you to walk the narrow road with Him first, that means in the wilderness, apart from a church or others who tell you repentance and an obedient faith is passive, just believe and God will eventually work it out, no He is waiting for you to obey from your heart, then stand as a light and witness to your family.

Pro 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Pro 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Pro 3:7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

Why? No one knows, but God. So turn to Him now in every thought and for every decision. God has all the answers and a plan for your life if you seek him earnestly. In as much as possible show forth the love of Jesus in all you do as an example to Rachel. Submit to God's perfect will and his timing. There is no other way that will satisfy.

The good LORD is much aware of the circumstances surrounding your prayer request.

You have been led here by God for prayer for your situation and your Faith is being tested in ways that you may not fully understand. Sometimes in life things like these must come to pass. They set up a great 'awakening call' for many people. And people must go through tense moments when it concerns their very family. But also know that God would never send you more than you are capable of handling. He is with you as you pray to Him. He will speak to your wife's heart as well. But know that due to free will, she may do what she wishes to do in this situation and you must be prepared for whatever happens. Ultimately, God will be with you and your children. Whatever may have happened between you and your wife now rests in forgiveness from you as well as from her so that God can forgive both of you and that you two can move on with your life so your children can have both their parents right there with them just as before. May God hear your prayers as well as ours for the best outcome to this situation.
In the Name of Jesus we pray.

Thank you for all of your prayer, support and encouragement.
Much of what you all have said, I feel The Lord has kind of been telling me, and encourage in me with. I would consider it conformation in the direction The Lord has been leading me.
I think He wants me waiting on Him and growing closer to Him right now.
My name is Erik, by the way.
Please keep Rachel and I in your prayers!

My brother, you have stated what happened to you and said wisely that God will work it out.
Your faith is encouraging.
May God grant you what you have said.
As long as you have faith like that, I know He will.
Praying for you and your family.

- Just as an aside, going to college and raising young children is a terrific burden.
(I'm sure you already know that.)
If you must leave college for a season to restore your marriage, I see no harm in that.
You can always go back to college, but one's family,.....that is a more immediate concern.
I will pray with the rest, that God restores your family.
God bless you!

We are both in our hometown now.
I am working, and I see the kids when I can. It can be so discouraging, and easy to feel alone. I am blessed to have so much support, here and from my family. Thank you all, again for your prayers and support.
Hopefully soon, the Lord will work everything out. But it is all in the Lord's timing!

Remember brother

Romans 8:28
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

God man and woman to become one flesh, what God has bound let no man loosen.

Matthew 19

Teaching About Divorce

13 And Pharisees came up to him and tested him by asking, “Is it lawful to divorce one's wife for any cause?” 4 He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, 5 and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? 6 So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.” 7 They said to him, “Why then did Moses command one to give a certificate of divorce and to send her away?” 8 He said to them, “Because of your hardness of heart Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so. 9 And I say to you: whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery.”[a]

I feel it brother that God is going to move in your marriage, you have nothing to worry about;

Heavenly Father i come before you today on behalf of your beloved son AKGinger, Lord i pray for the his and his's wife's' relationship towards one another, that you may reunite their hearts in mutual love and understanding, Father a man can only become faithful if he puts you before him so i pray Father than you may minister a pathway to his wife's heart and shed the love of the Holy Ghost within her heart to her husband AKGinger, i pray for faithfulness and an unfailing pouring of your love within their hearts for each other, for Lord you made relationships to last and endure that a man may leave his father and mother and take a wife to marriage till death do them apart, i pray you just may fix, heal and restore this relationship and fashion his wife's heart into seeing her need for not only him but for his children needing a father figure and for the sake of faithfulness draw her with cords of love and duty.

Lord you make all this new and are most definitely able to make a new fresh and vibrant start between these two souls, may their marriage bed be and remain undefiled but let them be drowned in each others love as it aught to be, in Jesus Mighty name i pray, amen!

God bless you brother, and may he abundantly deliver to you the desire of your heart and his for your life.

Psalm 27:14
14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

Joshua 1:9
9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
