I'm having a hard time forgiving someone, and would appreciate any prayers anyone can give me, or any advice anyone can give me.

I'm not really sure how much detail to give. Someone I know was sexually abused by one of their boyfriends (ex-boyfriend now). I found out part of the reason it happened, is my friend's mom, pretty much told my friend that it was ok. That letting a guy touch her was ok, she should be fine with it, she should enjoy it. ANd I don't get how any parent can tell their child it's ok to let guys do whatever they want to you, to touch you however they want. It pisses me off and makes me so angry. I just really need some advice and prayer on how to forgive my friend's mom for what she did and what she told my friend, because I'm trying really hard to get over it, but I'm just not over it yet.

Can I make a suggestion to you? this is what comes to mind, Holy Spirit led if you will, go out side the house, and shake your feet, and say Lord I shake off what my friends mom said and did!

ITs actually biblical, and alot of people have freedom in doing this.

Lord I lift up Aedin in prayer to YOU, Lord I ask You to soften her heart, that she may be able to forgive this person. And Lord I ask YOU to place a hedge of thorns around her and her friend, and seal it with the blood of JESUS, send YOUR angels to minister to those who think abuse is ok, and to Your young daughters Lord, to accomplish Your good and pleasing will. Cover them in Your blood and put the full armor of God upon them, in JESUS name I pray amen!

i have found that to know you are right and still love and pray for the person that has hurt you is not easy but to humble yourself and do this will help you. most of all PRAY and ask God to show you how to forgive this person. this is so WRONG for a mother to give that kind of advise! maybe you can show her through God's word that she is wrong. becareful because you don't want to come off like you are preaching to her. just tell her that it really upset you and that you know through God's word that this kind of advise is wrong and you just want her to see where you are coming from.
