help please

i have abrother,he had agafrnd and they separated...bt its 20years now since they separated...bt ma brother he stil thinks about that woman but u can see that he realy want to forget about her......... and shes married sme were else...we tried so many things to help him....we prayed for him at our church...and i pray for him evry day....he hates his family..he chase pple away who wants to help him.....if he get anew galfriend..he chase her away becoz he still thinks about that woman....and she made him using drugs and smoking and drinking when they were still together............but now is aclean man,saved,repeanted all his sins ....aman of GOD but the problem is .....my brother is obbsessd with that woman...and we dnt want him to go back to her becoz shes bad news.........we reach at the extent of tired also by helping him..we just dnt knw to do......he always wana be alone,sleeping all the time....lazy for nothing...talking about death.......he does pray bt his faith is nt strng enough.............i wana try and fast for him for 2weeks while praying and see how its gona be.............but other wise i realy need strng prayers......and please tell me what to do with him...i dnt wnt to lose him by going bck in the past...........please help...............i wish i can open his head and take out that thing he stil have for that woman.....does ma brother have adimon in him or what???????????? please help....tell me what to do..........and he doesnt wana listen smetimes.....and he doesnt want anyone who talks about that woman u cn see in his eyes......please help.........thank u.

We can never change another person

These are 2 truths I live by. If a person doesnt want to change...then yes by all means pray but there is nothing else you can do.

The harder you try the worse it has gotten for you not for him. It is already bad for him and only he can do something about it not you. Now the harder you try to change him as you have been trying for years to do so.
What this has done has cemented this into his brain and can't forget about it
Now if the subject does not come up and one gets busy with other stuff that is fruitful then the mind and depression are gone during that time
Your mind as I see it is the one that needs renewed to this situation and that is to stop trying to get him to see things your way and just Love him without trying to fix him and then God can do God's work for him and to him in God's time

Sometimes all one can do for thier lved one is to give them to God Our Father in prayer.
Often, what we think will help only gets in the way of God's work on them.
Ive learned this a few times myself. :)
Give your brother compleatly over to God Our Father's care and power, for He trully is the best at helping one and know all they need.
I will be praying in agreement with you and all here in Jesus's name, setting your brother before God with praise and thanksgiving!
For trully your brother is in the best care being given to God!
