There is no mess that can't be cleaned up by our Father...but you have your part to play. You have to follow his instructions.
1. You must reconcile with your husband and his friend, if you haven't already. You must ask them both for forgiveness individually (whether or not they forgive you). Face to face.
Matthew 5:23-24if you are presenting your offering at the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your offering there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and present your offering.
2. You must ask God for forgiveness of your sin. It reads as if you've done this already but make sure to get on your knees and specifically detail your sin.
1 John 1:9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness
3. You must realize that this flesh of ours will never want to do what's right. And for you, it will never want to stop craving the pleasure of alcohol. So the flesh must be crucified; subdued.
You must die to this part of your life. All drinking for you must end.
No more weekend drinking for you. Get rid of all alcohol in the house. Ask your husband to help you to end all drinking and to remove all temptation because it's a weakness for you and you don't want to dishonor him anymore.
Galatians 2:20I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Regardless if he complies, you must give your "pleasure of Alcohol" to Christ. Literally tell him you don't want it anymore, ask to be delivered from it, and make a conscious effort never to taste it again.
4. Finally, in giving up the old "wine" you must replace it with new wine. You must drink in the word, ESPECIALLY when you're feeling the desire to taste alcohol. The space inside you that the alcohol once filled must be filled up with something better or you'll just return back to your old ways after a while. So instead of spending your weekends drinking, spend it reading (or listening to) one of the gospels or another book of the bible you've been meaning to get through.
Ephesians 5:25-26Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word,
BibleGateway.com has great audio where you can just listen to the chapters being read by some great speakers. The NIV gives cool ambient music to help immerse yourself into the text so it feels like you're right there.
Oh, and I will indeed pray for you sister.
