hi, i'm just one of those highschoolers in a certain American high school.
So, i have a problem as you know i wrote it above... i can't help but hate these young people putting down others and making themselves more happier as if they are worth it. They are so selfish.. I know i am like them but I can't diminish this hatred. i mean, i try to love them with all my heart but i just can't put the "indignation" down. My mom said if you think of the cross of Jesus, your anger will disappear - yes it works but how can i think of the cross everytime while i'm facing them for hours at school? That is why i hate myself too.. i am guilty of this and i want to let it go. Pitying them will let me reach them in Jesus' name... i wish i can pity them and love them. please give me an advice..

Hi basketgirl,

Your mum has given you good advice, and I know what you mean it is hard to watch others treat others badly. Its the same even in a work place, you just have to put it to prayer, and be a loving example, remember your school friends are watching how you react, even though it may not seem like it. Unfortunatly we live in a broken world were sin reigns in the hearts of men/women. the best thing we can do for any is pray for them and to be an example of the light that is in you.

Praying for you

Blessings

Hi basket girl,
I also had the same problem when I was in high school and the picture of Jesus Christ was never in my mind,I hated them back. But once I came to know Christ what He had done for me I start loving them because they don't know what they are doing.Fighting with an opposite spirit will be a solution.Continue to pray for them and exercise to love them.My prayers are with you.

praying for you basket girl. i pray for this in my life also. FORGIVE THEM. It's hard, but once you forgive, you can put it away and have peace. I was praying for forgiveness for myself, but I was not forgiving of others when they hurt me. But when I forgave them, I received forgiveness from Christ.

GOD BLESS YOU!

It's hard, I know. My daughter read her bible openly between classes in a public school, I learned years after she graduated. I did it once for a confirmation class and was razzed pretty harshly. I'm proud of her to stand up for Jesus. I'm proud of you, too, for not following what to some would seem the "easier" or more popular regime. Read the words of Ephesians 6: 11-18. It made me wonder as I read it if teens are more susceptible to Satan's attacks as they try harder to fit into a world they don't understand. Just thinking...

Eph 6:12-13 " For we do not wrestle against flesh and blod, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand."
