I need a personal prayer

This prayer I need if something i have prayed about most of my life and I have been patient on it for a while, but for the past few months it has been really bad it hurts my soul. Especially today I have prayed for peace but the peace only comes and goes. I would appreciate any prayers my brothers and sister have for me.

Hey, Jacob. Not entirely sure what is going on with you, but I can understand how frustrating it is. We all have that peace. It passes through any time of understanding where we can't even understand why we have peace in the midst of chaos.

But, sometimes, we just start to "think" and we start to lose focus. I encourage you to keep your eyes on Jesus and your thoughts. Whenever this "situation" comes against you, causing you to be hurt, read Isaiah 26:3: "You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because He trusts in You."

Peace isn't a feeling, but it's a gift that God gives to you. Maybe this is a "waiting" process for you, where it can be discouraging. I really have no idea.

I know about a month ago, without getting into any details, a relationship ended in my life. Nights were awful, days were terrible....but God kept saying to me, "Think of Me." And as I did, I felt that peace. Because like you, peace comes and goes...and I was trying to figure out why that was. It was because I wasn't thinking on Him, I wasn't thinking about what He has done.

Your emotions and your feelings are valid and are important. I'll be praying when God puts you on my heart

Thank you Shineyourlight. I do my best to keep Jesus in my thoughts everyday i couldn't make it without him. The enemy knows where i am venerable and tries to put me down. I'm hoping with a lot of prayers I can have peace from it for some time.

Absolutely. But, we can still get distracted. I mean, I can't say I think about Him constantly. But, I know when I physically think of all the good He's done....especially on the cross....it brings that peace right back.

Right I sing Gospel music as well to put my heart at peace in those times I find it works very well.

Just trying to be helpful. It doesn't hurt to try it out

Jacob, Well even though I don't know what specifically the prayer need is, just know that the Lord knows, and He understands what you have been dealing with. Psalms 138:8 The LORD will perfect that which concerns me.... The Lord just ask that we keep our eyes fixed on Him, and abide in Him. Isaiah 45:2 I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight... Ephesians 3:20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.

I've found that praying for something specific can often be a set up to feel like a failure. Instead I pray for the opportunity to be, in your case, peaceful. That way when I get overwhelmed I can stop myself and think, maybe this is the time. Whether or not the outcome is to my desire, I know that at that moment the Holy Spirit spoke to me, and I listened.

Lord we pray for JacobGilbert, if there is any burden, fear, anxiety or any other things, which is making him restless, we pray Lord remove, and fill him with your peace and Joy, Lord bless him. Let your mercy follow him, Lord we give him to your hands, please take care of him, and bless, in Jesus loving name, Amen!
