Lately I have been so angry at my life. Nothing seems to work. I don't have a job. We don't have any source of income. We are living with my in-laws and it's hard. All I hear is all negative. I can't help but think of things like are people born to be useless? Are there people meant to be a failure because I feel like a failure. I want to fight back but being surrounded by lots of criticisms doesn't help at all...

Please pray for me

ive been at my dad and his wife (my step mom) hz for 6 months and i haven't had it easy for sure, im here against my will because i can't drive either (recovering from operation)

anyway it ain't long anymore then im on my way back to me own place :)

i guess what im trying to say here is that the Lord let me to this:

A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps. Proverbs 16:9 (KJV)

There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand. Proverbs 19:21 (KJV)

Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. Psalm 27:14 (KJV)

HANG IN THERE IT WILL GET BETTER

NEVER GIVE UP

Maria you're not a failure, you are a master piece made by God himself. Even the hairs on your head are counted. I know it's hard when you have so little and you have to live with your in-laws and it seems like nothing is working in your favor, but look at what you have got, praise God you have salvation through Jesus Christ ,that along is more powerful than anything else in this world, and he paid a terrable price for that and he would have done it even if you were the only one here. Seek him Maria and you'll not only find him but you'll find an inner peace that will out weigh all the hardship that this old world will through at you. I hope you'll find that peace Maria because he wants you to have it and so much more, God bless.

Omighty God I lift up Maria to you in the name of Jesus. Draw her close to you Lord and let her feel the love that you have. In the name of Jesus I pray, amen

What the enemy is so good at,is planting seeds of doubt! If one believes they are a failure,then they are one! That is what his purpose is! For us to first call ourselves one,because by creating one, we become what we say! ask God( rom 4:17) He called into being that which did not exist and with his own words created it! And since we are his decendants( verse 18) we can do the very same!

And even though we never wish to do this,many do,this is because they do not know enough of the Word to create what Jesus says about themselves. easy??? LOL No when we look with our eyes it sure is not!! Butsister we do not look with our eyes!! That which we see is only temporary.( 2 cor 4:18) BUT!! we can only see as Jesus sees when we have enough of his Word in us to counter what we do see!

I am not going to blow smoke up you behind!! It takes very hard work on our part! But like anything else we find,if we DO the work, we reap the reward as well! simple choice we have,to believe what others say, as they use there eyes,or believe what Jesus says? rom 8:28 and what you need right now, even as I did!!Is endurance!! ( heb 10:36) To endure,we eat food many do not know of!!( john 4:32-34) To do the Will of our Father sis,we must partake and eat of his Word.We know we become full, when that is what we speak rather then what things look like.

If you are willing to work hard in doing your best!! Jesus will honor you!! Because he said himself this!! ( 1 cor 10:13) He will provide the way of escape!! But in order for him to do this,we my sister must find the door to it! We find the door when we say what he says!Rom 8:37-39! He loves you sister but he also searches our heart,and tests our mind!( Jeremiah 17:10) notice the scripture i gave you?? That is because my words mean nothing!! God's Word does! And when we truly believe this!! We use this!! amen!! blessing to you!

I just got out of prison last week, Maria. I am on probation, I have a curfew. I have no job, no prospects, and I most certainly feel useless being 24 years old sitting at home after sitting in prison for the last quarter of my life. HOWEVER, what I always try to remind myself is that there are plenty of people doing way worse than me. I try to find appreciation for the simple things like hot food at dinner or my little brother so happy to see me picking him up from school. And one good thing about being at the bottom, there's nowhere to go but up!:D

Prayed for you. Hang in there Maria, you are definitely NOT a failure! Criticism is hard to deal when it's all you hear everyday, and the devil will certainly try to use it to lead you astray. Dont believe the lies, hold on to the Lord, he will NEVER forsake you. Remember his promises, always.

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope"

Isaiah 40:28-31

Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.

He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.

Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;

but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

God bless you! :)

Excellent post;

All the things I read on the the posts have a story that is seldom fully told; but the examples they give witness to are a testimony of survival. Having no job, no income, no uplifting guidance which leads to a better life, is much like a place we call prison. Many who come out of prison know the struggle of not being allowed to feel productive, to feel useful, contributing to the well being of the community. The very point that you are talking about it is a powerful event among friends. Never give up. There will be someone who has the means to help you in your plight.

If you are able, volunteer in a program meant to help your community. Being able to talk with people is a gift to those who know what it is like not to have that option.

Dear Sister Maria, I am sorry to hear you are going through a rough time right now. I know it may nit help, but there are a great many people who share your problems at this time.

Unemployment is high and so many people have to live with people they would rather not just to survive.

I suggest, if possible you spend as much time as possible away from you temporary home. If you attend church, perhaps you could volunteer their. You would get a little relief from all the negativity and be around those who are filled with Gods love. That would have to make you feel a little better.

Perhaps you or your husband might even get a job through church contacts.

I pray that our Lord and Savior will grant a good job where needed, cast all negative spirits from your temporary home, grant you peace, tranquility, joy and pour out His richest blessings upon you, in Jesus name, Amen

It sounds like a rough time, but don't let downers ruin your demeanor. Hebrews 12:6 "...the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son/daughter." It's a good thing when your life is rough. That means God is building you. It's for your character and sanctification, especially bringing humility if the right attitude is taken at suffering. You can't be angry at your life. Ultimately you're either angry at yourself or you're angry at God. Of course that's perfectly normal for someone who's never been without work in a cesspool of negativity like you say. Yet normal doesn't mean right. It's up to us to take the reigns on our thoughts and put every one under the subjection of Christ: 2 Corinthians 10:5 "We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God [truth from the Bible or otherwise], and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.". This is a responsibility that brings the good fruit of joy, contentment, self-satisfaction and dignity.

It's easy to think of yourself as useless when one doesn't have a job, but that doesn't mean it's true. You know just as well as I do that you would be "useful" if there were opportunities for it. Work is what we're meant for. If you're not lazy then it's good and right for you to want that for yourself, which I'm sure you do. You're feelings of uselessness and vanity only have a place if you're not breathing every breath for God. Glory for God is what we're meant for, that is our goal! If we don't have what we want what should we do as Christians? Praise Him! Because He isn't the one responsible for this mess, we are, the beings who decided that we didn't need to obey God. Praise Him through not having a job. Because He is sovereign and despite all the people who mess up the economy that God lets have there way, He can put a stop to it. Praise God for having a place to stay and maybe through prayer your in-laws will pray with you to find a job. If they do that then the tension will leave, I guarantee it. Because that's love and understanding.

Praying for you. :)

However much you are a "failure" in this life in the eyes of men and in your own eyes, if you have the grace of God then you are most successfull in His eyes. This is the one single thing that counts at the end of the day.

I do hope you have this and if so that you look unto Christ alone as the source and reason for your right standing with God, not to self. Let this then be your strength and motivation in your life. However bad things may look, in this perspective God will make a way out, in His timing.

You have my heart in prayer for you...I have lived with my inlaws...I was treated more like the help than family...
I don't know if you are helping with the chores...but maybe that is a way you can win favor.

You are in my prayers....
Don't forget to ask for wisdom.

Psalm 34:4-10
I sought the Lord, and he answered me;
he delivered me from all my fears.
Those who look to him are radiant;
their faces are never covered with shame.
his poor man called, and the Lord heard him;
he saved him out of all his troubles.
The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him,
and he delivers them.
Taste and see that the Lord is good;
blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.
Fear the Lord, you his saints,
for those who fear him lack nothing.
The lions may grow weak and hungry,
but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.

Psalm 34:17-18
The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them;
he delivers them from all their troubles.
the Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
