Hey guys, I'm new to this sort of thing so forgive my clumsiness.. I am severely depressed. Considering this is online with a bunch if strangers, I would rather not put personal information but.. Take it from me. I am depressed, emotionally beaten down and lost. I have few friends because of my Christian beliefs and most of my family has also left for the same reason. I am trying to dedicate my every action to God's glorification and live my life according to His will..yet I feel abandoned. Not by God, but by everyone else. I know this shouldn't matter, " With God on your side you don't need people" " If God is for you then who can be against you?" and all that but.. The truth is this: I love Jesus, the Lord is my life, but I still feel broken..alone, worthless, empty, hated.. Please, I need someone with something real. Not this cliched Hallmark stuff, but Scripture and guidance..maybe even those who have survived this type of depression and can offer words of encouragement..

My sincerest thanks to anyone willing to help
Please..

Do not see this as a time of defeat, but a gift.
I can say this because Ive been there, and more than one time. :)
For it is in these times that Jesus brings so much understanding, relience upon Him, trust.
And the result is His victory made perfect in you.
I always struggle during these times simply because I keep looking at the struggle. :)
When Jesus is simply asking us to look not at what is wrong, but to set our eyes on Him.
For our walk in Jesus is not about what we know or see in this life, but all about what is His gift of eternal life.
You are in my prayers in Jesus for all you need and ask for, also that your depression, will be transformed into joy in Jesus!

God bless

Very sorry about what you're going through, my heart goes out to you :(. It sounds as if you might be going through a period of testing, and even though it isn't pleasant, it's for the best, and you will learn from it, and come out stronger in the end (I do speak from experience, even though I may not have gone through quite what you're experiencing)

I do have a verse for you, I hope it helps. 1 Peter 5:10

"But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you."

It would also be a good idea to ask Jesus to fill you with The Holy Spirit, whom He called "The Comforter", it makes a big difference! :) Message me if you want to talk, ok? Love, Nichole

Healing takes time. Yes Jesus can be your best friend, but if you live in a place that has any Christians around you should try and get together with them to worship and fellowship (socialize). As far as feeling worthless "But you are part of a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." 1 Peter 2:9. I strongly suggest you go onto pandora.com and make an internet radio station with the artist Britt Nicole. And run that on the regular. You'll feel more healthy inside. And there's a lot of songs that will help you feel better. You'll know what I mean when you go on it. It's free unless you don't want commercials. I don't pay for it. They're are few commercials, only one every couple songs, unless you choose to skip a song. All of them are encouraging because of the way it's set up. Feel free to message me about yourself if you want to talk. I have some counseling background.

1 John 4:7-8
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.

This verse lets you know why it is important to spend time with other believers.
God loves us through other believers while we are here in this world.
God's perfect love drives out fear.
You want true love, go to the one who is love.
I will pray for you too, In His Love, Shekaniah :D

1 John4:18 & 19
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. We love because he first loved us.

1 Thess 5:10 & 11
Christ died for us so that, whether we are dead or alive when he returns, we can live with him forever.
So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.

Thank you, all of you. Your advice is genuinely appreciated.. Right now, I am very alone in my life. The only thing that is stable is God's presence.. Hence, your support means a great deal to me. Thank you again..
