To summarize:
My husband's parents are divorced, his father re-married. The new step-mother-in-law and her 3 kids are from a totally different social class than what I was raised in, and that fact, coupled with my own insecurities, makes it very difficult for me to be around them and feel anything but uncomfortable,awkward, ignored, and socially inept, with a dash of bitterness thrown in.
They aren't bad people. They aren't intentionally mean. I don't think they are purposely stuck-up...
See? There's my problem. I don't like the way I feel about them, and I keep struggling with it.
Please pray for me to change my attitude towards them and if not love them, at least accept them for who they are and get along with them for my husband's sake.
