I was simply saying that I've recently been involved in some discussions which pertain to things contained in the book of Revelation ("MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT", "the lake of fire", etc.), so the book of Revelation is fresh in my mind. As such, when you mentioned "dogs", it just made me think of that verse in Revelation which pertains to "dogs being without".

That's all...I'm not too deep...except in doo-doo (most of the time)...lol.
That was simple enough, thank you.

And yes you are (in deep doo-doo) most of the time lol

...and I'm the starring actor who is free falling in a bottomless pit.

How's that for an intro?

I've had a spate of events, uncaused by me (to my present knowledge and understanding) and not due to any negligence or irresponsibility on my part (again, to my present knowledge and understanding), which have put me in a major financial crisis.

My prayer request is twofold:

1. That God would grant me the wisdom and the grace to get out of this mess (or for Him to get me out of this mess because it seems humanly impossible at the moment).

2. That if there is any negligence or irresponsibility on my part (or sin, in general) which has led to this, that God would plainly reveal it to me that I might genuinely repent of the same.

Seriously, I need an answer from God immediately...if not sooner.

Any prayers offered up to God on my behalf will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
"Heavenly Father, you are so wonderful, loving and caring. I ask that you give my brother your Peace in this situation. I know it will work together for his good. Help him to trust you in every aspect of this, relying on you to work it out for his good and your Glory in your perfect timing.

Also, Father, if there is any change(s) he needs to address in his life regarding managing his finances I ask that you open his eyes to it/them and give him the courage to do it/them, all the while trusting you.

Thank you, Father, for all the blessings that you bestow upon us. I ask these things in the name of Jesus. Amen."

Thanks, Joseph...and I can assure you that I'm open to changes in regards to managing my finances...but I don't have any (finances, that is) at the moment...lol.

Anyhow, I did just finish answering the PM that you sent me, so hopefully you'll understand my situation a little better after reading the same.

Thanks, again, for your prayers.

Lord Jesus,

we do not know what this precious brother is going through now, Lord, but I believe that You have taken Your rightful place as the Head in this whole situation. I believe and declare that You have Your hand in this matter and that You will do whatever is needful to see this through.

I pray that you grant this brother patience and humility to understand that Your ways are not the ways of Man and that it is only in Your Perfect Time, that we will see lasting solutions.

Lord teach me also, as I too go through my daily trials. I pray for this brother that You will reveal to him Your perfect plan for his situation, that You will cause in him a great restoration of his earthly life as well as in his spirit. I plead protection from the blood of Christ in this matter and I receive healing and wisdom on behalf of this brother. Thank you, Lord, for guiding his steps and giving him peace in his times of need.

In Jesus most precious name,

Amen

Hi, DyingToSelf.

Thanks...and your username pretty much says it all.

I'm sorry to ask this of all of you, but please continue praying for me. This whole very long ordeal has been one of the strangest ordeals of my life in that I pretty much have regular fellowship or communion with the Lord (and a lot of that comes in the form of personal correction), but I seem unable to get the slightest word in relation to my ongoing situation. Time is of the essence here and, quite frankly, I've already exceeded my time limits...by man's standards, anyway.

Anyhow, if you could just continue to pray for me a little bit longer, then I'd be eternally grateful for the same. Believe me, I'm basically praying without ceasing at my end.

Thanks and good night.

No thanks needed. Be of good faith and remember that the battle is already won. Let me continue to pray with you that we may both see the assurance that GOD has already given to us through our Saviour.

Abba Father,

we join again in prayer, giving thanks that You are the creator of the heavens and the earth and yet You have taken the time to number the hairs on our heads. LORD, help us remember that the battle is not ours to fight, that You are our Victory and You are our Vengeance.

Father, I pray for JesusistheChrist in his time of need, LORD, remind him that You are the Final Word. Remind him that the battle is already won and that we are praying FROM Victory, not for Victory. When Jesus said "IT IS FINISHED", I believe that our Saviour did a complete and perfect work. I thank You, LORD, for that sacrifice You made on that cross.

LORD, I pray that You will remind his tired heart of the blessed assurance we have in Christ, that You strengthen his faith in this struggle. We do not know of his troubles, but You alone have been ahead and You alone know the paths to his solution.

Father, I claim for this brother the promises of Joel 2:25, that You WILL restore the years that the locusts have eaten! That only You, outside of time, can turn this situation around for the good of them who believe in You.

Thank You, Awesome GOD, that we can come to You in prayer and supplication. Thank You for reminding us that man may fall and drop by the wayside, but JESUS NEVER FAILS!

I pray this for my brother in Jesus Name,

Amen.

Almighty Father,

I come to you in prayer again and set this brother's situation at your feet, LORD. I ask that You guide his thoughts to find the Word that You have set for him, that You will send clear and unmistakable instruction into his heart, that he may know that this is the way that You have ordained for him. LORD, set around him God-fearing friends and earthly angels, that they may help to guide him and nourish him with Your Word. That in encouragement and fellowship, he may find Your perfect solution in this.

I pray all this in the name of Jesus,
Amen.

Believe me, I'm familiar with that verse as I cling to it (and others) all of the time.

I probably should add the following:

A while back, I really felt the Holy Spirit impress the following verses upon me and I was like "uh oh":

I Peter chapter 1

[6] Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
[7] That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

This has been some "season" and my "temptations" or "trials" have certainly been "MANIFOLD".

Seriously, please pray that I endure this because I'm really in a bad situation right now and time is of the essence.

Thanks.
I have prayed for you in this trial of your faith, that you persevere.

I have prayed for you in this trial of your faith, that you persevere.
Thank you, Elin.

In all honesty, I've been fighting the urge to just post, "Put a fork in me", all day long.

I've been a Christian for a long time and I've LITERALLY seen God perform the miraculous and I've always been open to His reproof, but this time around (and this has been going on for years in relation to what I'm presently going through)...

I just don't know...

...it's like I can't hear a thing.

I'm seriously thinking about fasting tomorrow...especially since tomorrow, by natural standards, is pretty much the beginning of the end for me. IOW, certain things can only be delayed for so long and then it's time to "pay the piper", so to speak.

Anyhow, of this much I am sure:

Jesus Christ is Lord and I would NEVER even consider placing my own righteousness above His. IOW, I'm confident that God is Just and I'll just have to see what happens from hereon.

Thanks, again, to all who have prayed.

John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

Romans 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Psalms 8:2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength [PRAISE] because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still [make shut up and bind] the enemy and the avenger.

Lifting you up to God... Asking the Holy Spirit to intercede for you... thinking of you brother.
It does not have to mean you erred if you are in bad situation, please, dont search and torment yourself so desperately. I used to do this whenever I'd get hit and problems arised, my question was aways "what did I sin to cause this to happen". It does not necessarily mean it is because you sinned in something if things are going bad. The Spirit is the searcher of hearts - if there's something you've erred in, He is more than able to expose it - dont torment yourself. Many in the OT had hardship in life not caused by their errors. It was often a test of faith or used to shape them into a better weapon in God's hand. If we examine our works, no matter how zealous we are nobody is perfect, if we say we have no sin then we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us (1 Jn 1:8). Satan will always find an imperfection and say, there is a legal foothold for me to destroy him. But one thing satan cant argue with is God's promises, "God is faithful and just to forgive and He delivers us from evil and does not give a snake if we ask for fish, according to His Word" --- wow satan's mouth is shut suddenly, he cant answer... If God would want to look upon our errors then no man would be heard or shown mercy, and the murderer would succeed in all his plans. Despite our eventual mistakes or confusion, God is able to save, and shout through, and set us back on the straight path.

Hi, SoulWeaver.

Thanks for your prayers/comments/advice.

Believe me, I sing praises to God CONSTANTLY (if you don't believe me, then just ask my children...they're always begging me to SHUT UP!...I don't have the greatest singing voice...lol). Also, I'm not just beating myself up, but simply leaving open the option that God wants to deal with me in an area (or two...or three). Additionally, I'm not ignorant of Satan's devices, especially in that I've been involved in the deliverance ministry for more than 20 years now. That said, I do appreciate all of your advice in that it was spot on. I'm still in the place where I simply haven't heard yet and MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, God's leading me to a place of fasting and I'm planning on doing that tomorrow.

Speaking of tomorrow...

My wife just informed me and I just confirmed it that we're supposed to get about 2 feet of snow where we live starting early tomorrow morning. If such is indeed the case, then there goes some work days and some much needed revenue.

Lol...God is able.

Btw, just to give glory and honor unto God, I was once basically stuck/stranded, out of state, about 1200 miles away from anybody that I knew who could help me, without a phone, without even enough gas in my car to go more than a mile or two, without any money (and I mean without ANY money) and without anything to eat but a raw onion and some ketchup and mustard. No joking. What did I do? Well, I prayed all night and literally believed God that He was going to have to send an angel to help me and to bring me the money that I needed to travel from Florida to New Jersey. I had such confidence in God at that time that I literally kept going to the front door and looking outside for money. What happened? With God as my Witness, when I looked out the front door in the morning, I saw something (s) green on my front lawn and it wasn't the grass. I went outside and found money just lying on my lawn and it was just the amount that I needed to get from Florida to New Jersey. How did it get there? I can tell you this much...I had no conversation (I couldn't...I didn't even have a phone) with any human being at that time besides my wife and she was stuck/stranded in the house with me. In fact, she had been surviving on Cremora and water for two days. Anyhow, when I drove up from Florida to New Jersey, God orchestrated a series of events which landed me on the front page of the newspaper, provided me a place to live and a whole host of other things.

Well, I just didn't want any of you to think that I'm somehow questioning God or His ability to provide. Rather, I'm just hanging on for dear life and hoping and trusting in His mercy and grace and coveting your prayers at this time until God somehow sees me through. I'm also thinking of having my name changed to Job...lol.

Sorry for rambling...BUT JESUS IS LORD!...REGARDLESS!

Amen! And no, I didnt think that you were doubting God. Just felt the need to say these things just in case to make sure you were not beating yourself up because I am so sad to see you in distress.
That was an amazing testimony of God's provision, btw!

Deliverance ministry... yes forgive me - I havent paid attention to this enough and now it clicks - it very well might be the cause of oppression.
When you deliver a person, if the demon cant get back into them, it attacks the deliverer, yes. I havent been in any big deliverance ministry, I've comparatively done very little deliverance and I have experienced this... cant imagine how much more you might be attacked, whom God used mainly in this way! But God will prevail. "Dont be afraid" was said 365 times in the Bible, one time for each day.

Thank you for your prayers, psalm6819.

I have to say this, though...

I'm no fan of how Jeremiah 29:11 is regularly quoted (on calendars, greeting cards, etc., etc.). I mean, CONTEXTUALLY, that was spoken to people who were going into 70 years of Babylonian captivity and many (most) of them died there. My captivity's already been about 4 1/2 years long and I'm not looking to prolong it nor am I hoping to die in the midst of it. lol.

Anyhow, in all sincerity, thank you for your prayers. I had to mention the Jeremiah thing because, as one forum member here who's known me for years knows, that's a verse which I regularly address with people. No disrespect or dishonor meant to you at all...I hope that you understand.

God bless you.

Hi, SoulWeaver.

Do you know what's weird (besides me)?

I'm kind of worried that I'm not worried enough.

I mean, I know that Jesus said "taking thought for the morrow" and "worrying" isn't going to change anything, but I'm wondering if I shouldn't be panicking just a little bit more than I am. When I still lived at home with my mother years ago, she had a book entitled "The Peace of God" and before I tell you what picture was on the front cover of the same, I'll tell you what the author had to say (I'm paraphrasing from memory, so it might not be exact) on the inside cover. He basically said that he had considered putting a picture of a sailboat on a sunny, calm day just floating at sea with sea gulls hovering around it and such on the cover, but here's the image that he actually went with for the front cover:

A tree being violently shaken by the wind during a torrential downpour with lightning flashing all around it...and a bird just sleeping in its nest peacefully on one of its branches.

That might be me...or I might be nuts! The jury's still out on that one!

lol.

Anyhow, I really am going to fast and pray tomorrow...Lord willing, of course. Desperate times call for desperate actions and I really haven't fasted in quite a long time. I'm not sure why that is because every time that I do fast, I always say to myself:

I've got to do this more often!

IOW, I just find that when we humble ourselves as much as possible, then there just seems to be an even greater grace which comes upon us. Yes, when we are weak, HE IS STRONG...and I desperately need HIS STRENGTH.

Anyhow, it helps me just to have some people to talk to, so thanks again to each and every one of you who have taken the time to pray for me and to encourage me. Believe me, I won't forget it...and neither will God.

Abba,

Its is You who have thaught us, to change what is seen with what that is unseen. we profess with faith in our hearts that You are the Resurrection and the Saving Grace of the World.

Thank You, LORD, that You have the Final Word in this, thank You that You have already set in motion the restoration and the solution to this brother's problems. give us peace in our hearts as we enter this final stretch and near the end of this trlal. Help us to finish this course with joy, for the joy of the LORD is our strength.

Do not let us worry in our hearts and remind us that Time is meaningless in front of the Awesome power that is OUR GOD. Remind us that You can restore our Years and that it is only in Your way and Your time will the perfect plan for our lives surface.

Keep us close to You, Father, and comfort us in the solid Rock of Your Holy Word.

Thanks, KBond.

Although I am fasting today, I've yet to enter into the praying part, but I'm planning on doing the same any moment now. We are getting anywhere from one to two feet of snow where I live, so I needed to do some shopping this morning and also to make some posts on another thread. I've been contemplating explaining exactly what types of trials I'm presently facing and I might do the same before the day is through. I'm normally a bit reserved in relation to personal matters, but our prayers might be more effective if people knew exactly what types of things need to be prayed for.

Anyhow, thanks again to all of you...I sincerely appreciate all of the prayers, well wishes and comments/advice.

Time to hit my knees...

You know what?

I'm just going to "spill the beans"...well, some of them, anyway...so that those of you who are praying might better understand exactly what it is that I need or desire (I believe that my desires are godly...you can judge for yourselves).

My trials pretty much began to intensify about 5 years ago when my wife conspired with one of my sisters and they pressed totally false charges against me with the Police (alleged multiple incidents of domestic violence and child abuse...nothing could be further from the truth). I had a temporary restraining order placed against me back then and I was unable to see my own three children for 6 days until after I appeared in court to defend myself (I've been guilty of just about everything in life, but in this instance I was beyond innocent and I therefore refused to appear in court hiding behind a lawyer, but I did consult two lawyers before going to court that day). To make a long story short and avoiding basically all of the gory details, there were 27 cases heard that day, with mine being the 27th, and all 26 defendants who appeared in court before me lost their cases and I won mine by a landslide. In fact, at the end of my trial, the Judge, having seen and heard firsthand what a deceitful woman my wife is, recommended that I divorce my wife (I haven't) and one of the lawyers whom I had consulted wanted me to press criminal charges against my wife and have her arrested in that she lied to Police Officers, the Judge (she perjured herself more than 60 times in just her opening comments...I was making a list) and, more importantly, from my point of view anyway, to her alleged "God" after swearing with her hand upon a Bible. That's all that I have to say about that for now except that if my wife had won her case in court that day, then I would have unjustly had a permanent restraining order (which is what my wife was seeking) placed against me and I would have never been able to see my own three children, whom I love more than my own life, again. I'm not looking for sympathy, friends...I'm just explaining what I'm up against.

Shortly thereafter, my wife and I determined that we needed to move because our original house was purchased (we hadn't paid it all off yet) when we only had one child and we now had three and we simply needed a bigger house. As such, I invested almost all of our savings in remodeling the house (new floors, new bathrooms, etc., etc.) to make it more sellable and my wife was basically hell bent on buying new furniture. I repeatedly insisted that then was not the time to buy new furniture (for starters, we didn't even need it) because we were planning on moving and it made more sense to just wait until we moved before thinking about new furniture. Well, of course, my wife started buying new furniture...and she doesn't work. She does, however, attend college online and being a minority (she's a black woman from Panama), she receives different grants to pay for her schooling and she's basically allowed to spend her money however she wants to. As such, when I asked her where she was getting the money to buy all this new furniture and she told me that she had some money, I initially assumed that she was using her school money...until I got my next credit card bill. Yes, she had been charging everything to my credit card, so that was a financial setback. To make matters worse, she insisted on hiring a man to do the renovations around our house who basically looked like a crack addict. As it turned out, he was on drugs and he not only basically destroyed our house instead of renovating it, but he also made off with about $800.00 that I had paid him in advance for some materials and stuff. Needless to say, that was another setback. When we finally got some people in to actually do the renovations, I noticed a spot of black mold in the ceiling of our downstairs bathroom as I was showering one morning and when looked into, it was discovered that there had apparently been a slow leak in a pipe from our upstairs bathroom which had not only damaged the ceiling of our downstairs bathroom, but which had also apparently leaked under the wall and into the floorboards of our son's bedroom (this was discovered as his carpet was taken up). Again, to make a long story short, we contacted our home owner's insurance company and they in turn brought in a mold remediation company. Well, far from remediating the mold, these people did nothing according to industry guidelines and they wound up spreading three different types of TOXIC MOLD throughout our entire house. In fact, they did no post-testing (we hired another company to do post-testing and there were not only three different types of TOXIC MOLD in our house, but they were at TRIPLE THE LEVEL OF WHAT WILL KILL YOU) and they told us all to move back into the house and my wife had to be taken to the hospital ($25,000.00 in bills) as she had an immediate reaction to the mold and now has respiratory/lung problems as does our son. Anyhow, that house has basically been condemned, along with all of its belongings, so we not only lost everything that we owned in one moment of time, but also all of the money which we had invested in the renovations AND $27,000.00 IN MERCHANDISE WHICH I USED TO RUN/MAINTAIN MY BUSINESS IN THAT MY HOME DOUBLED AS MY WAREHOUSE. IOW, in one moment of time, we lost our past (our savings), our present (everything that we owned except for the clothes on our backs and whatever merchandise I had in my work van) and our future in that I lost the merchandise which I use to generate revenue.

It gets worse...

Our homeowner's insurance company, being the snakes that they are, wrote out a big check for us in BOTH our names AND the name of our mortgage company. IOW, we could only cash the check with our mortgage company's co-signature and the monies had to go into repairing our home WHICH WAS CONDEMNED DUE TO THE TOXIC MOLD. As such, we've never received a dime from them except for the couple of days that they put us up in a hotel when the mold remediation was being done.

How could things get any worse? Well, here's how:

We hired a lawyer, the number one lawyer in this field of dealing with mold cases (he won a case for 4.5 million dollars less than a month before we hired him), and we sought to sue the mold remediation company. Mind you, this process began almost 4 1/2 years ago and there are statutes of limitation involved in such cases. Anyhow, we basically had a two year window in which to notify the mold remediation company that we were going to sue them and our lawyer instructed us to "set all of our ducks in a row", so to speak, or to gather together all of our receipts, photographs, medical bills, etc., etc. so that we could properly present our case. Oh, I forgot to mention that we live in a resort area in the Poconos of Pennsylvania and that we LITERALLY moved every Saturday, for 8 straight months, when we lost our house because we were only able to rent different places for one week at a time at exorbitant rates (anywhere from $800 to $1000 A WEEK) while we looked for another house. I also forgot to mention that two different realtors tried to swindle us during this timeframe of looking for a new home and one of them LITERALLY threatened to kill me (I had to call the Police and press charges against him) after we demanded our deposit back when we found MOLD in the home that we had left a deposit for (they had tried to cover it up, but, again, my wife had a reaction and we had the place tested). Anyhow, after we handed all of our documents over to our lawyer, he ensured us that he had notified the mold remediation company and we regularly had contact with our lawyer via phone and in person at his office...until this past May, that is, WHEN WE READ IN THE NEWSPAPER HOW THAT OUR LAWYER HAD BEEN BANNED FROM PRACTICING LAW FOR 18 MONTHS (friends, you can't make this stuff up) because he apparently hadn't been properly filing paperwork for several different people who then filed complaints against him. Well, needless to say, we immediately began checking up on our lawyer in regard to whether or not he had ever properly filed our own paperwork and, as I type, our new lawyer has still been unable to properly assess the same. As it presently stands, there's a distinct possibility that our case might be dismissed and that we might have to then sue our original lawyer for malpractice instead.

On top of this, although I was able to maintain my family/our finances during the first 2 or 2 1/2 years of this ordeal in that I work in retail sales (I have my own business) and in that I was generating decent revenue daily, a whole host of things have similarly conspired against me and my business has basically tanked.

"Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you enjoy the play?"

lol...that's basically just an introduction. IOW, I could easily add to the list of things which I just described.

Here's the deal:

In the natural, I'm basically in financial ruin as a direct result of these and other things which have come upon me. To make matters worse, I've got an ever growing list of people who are SUING ME. For example, our old house which we lost was in a gated community where we paid yearly dues for maintenance and they're SUING ME for more than $10,000.00. Quite frankly, I'm about a week or so from getting evicted from the house which we're presently renting and I have a wife and three young children (my eldest will be 12 next week, the next is 9 and the last is 7). If these things ONLY involved me, then I would happily live in a cardboard box if I had to and sing praises to God while doing so. However, as a man who loves his children, my heart rends as I think of how all of this might negatively affect them. We have received help from different organizations at times and I've even considered declaring bankruptcy, but, in all honesty, that would only be a band aid of sorts. IOW, I really need to hear from God in relation to what I'm supposed to do with my life from hereon.

In the spiritual?

Well, I'd like to say two things...

1. I'm not Prince Charming. Well, what does that mean? It means that although I've documented how OTHER people and OTHER things have conspired or worked against me, I have had to make some changes of my own throughout this long ordeal. Again, "fiery trials" will expose whatever "dross" is in our own hearts and I've had to deal with quite a few things in relation to MY OWN CHARACTER in the midst of this, but I have dealt with and will continue to deal with the same.

2. I want to live for God.

Seriously, I genuinely gave my life to Christ more than 26 years ago and it's my sole desire to live for Him and His purposes. I've diligently sought the Lord since day one and I genuinely have a heart/burden for the lost and I'm hoping that I can still be useful in the Lord's "vineyard" before my life on earth is through.

Please pray that God shows me what to do next. Again, I've seen/experienced/witnessed THE MIRACULOUS POWER OF GOD, in more ways than one, many, many times over the last 26+ years so I know that God is able to get me out of this "bottomless pit" that I described in my OP. I really need a Word from Him...please continue with me in prayer that I get it.

Thank you and God bless you.

Wow, what a ride. Not sure what to say here but I'll pray on it. Hell is definitely working overtime on your case.

Just out of curiosity, what sort of retail business do you own, and do you have any formal Bible schooling?
