I am thankful that my state has the Grand Jury system. My son has been charged (falsely I believe) with Sexual Assault and Restraint of Liberty. The only real evidence for the alleged assault is that his ex-girl-friend says so. She claims that he penetrated her while she was unconscious. She is evidently trying to get him thrown in prison while she steals his corporation. He says, and I believe him, that this girl friend had been drinking & went out of her mind banging her head against a wall, so he put an arms-around restraint technique on her which he had learned when working with children.
The Grand Jury is to get this case on Sep 3, Thursday. I would like that the DA drops it before it goes there; but if it does, that it come out, "NO BILL."
I pray that any lies she has told will be exposed. And I pray that she have to give a deposition before it gets to Grand Jury so that she can be cross-examined by attorneys.
The reason why she can be depo-ed is that at the same time she brought a Family Court (civil court) action against my son for a Protective Order. Temporarily she was successful, since my son under criminal charge was told by his lawyer not to testify in Family Court on these matters. The temporary order is under appeal, which allows witnesses to go through pre-trial deposition.
A Family Court de novo is supposed to be held now to finalize or reverse the Protective Order. It was sent to a new female light-black judge, who appears to me to be likely prejudiced against men and against non-blacks (my son like George Zimmerman is 1/2 Hispanic & 1/2 white). His ex-girl-friend is light-black also. This judge is on YouTube going on about how the jury erred in saying not guilty over Zimmerman at a Trayvon rally. She has membership in black organizations & goes to a black church whose pastor is a disciple of Jeremiah Wright, calling him Daddy J. So I pray that my son's lawyer will be able to persuade this judge to recuse herself. I pray he will get a just, non-prejudiced judge. I see on that judge's website that she allows only 1 1/2 hours for such a trial! I pray my son be delivered from kangaroo court & get due process.
One day during their relationship my son discovered an email or a text message from his ex-girl friend to one of her female friends saying like, "I should marry [my son] & steal his millions." My son has recently started a very successful business at which he must have made over a million dollars in the first year, though he evidently gave nearly that much money to this ex girl friend, who was continually having expensive "needs." They dated for about 4 years before these charges were made.
I am told that On the night in which she claimed rape, the police came out but she refused to file charges & refused that the paramedics should take her to the hospital. But the next day she went to a hospital and had a SANE rape kit process and she would have been tested for drugs probably. But I have not heard yet of my son's lawyer being able to get those medical records. But as of now, they have not taken DNA from my son; so I doubt that there is medical proof of intercourse, rape or not. Pray that my son's lawyer gets those records.
So pray for the salvation of his ex girl friend. She went through the motions of becoming a Christian and was baptized. Pray that her heart is turned to the Lord and away from evil action vs my son.
After the night on which she claims rape, after her hospital visit, my son had about 3 dates with her, and spent a night in her home alone with her in the house. She got about $30,000 from him and a $10,000 engagement ring.
Now she claims she is the rightful owner of his business. About 2 months after the alleged rape, she swore out an accusation of rape vs my son & the detective believed her. The ex's lawyer is a woman who has a husband lawyer who is a civil corporate lawyer. He went to civil court with a claim that the ex owned my son's business. At the same time, my son lost his 2 good corporate attorneys because they had done business with his ex before -- conflict of interest. So without an effective attorney, my son lost control of his business for about 2 weeks to his ex. She quickly moved $200,000 out of the business into her bank account. Then my son got a new effective corporate lawyer who got my son put back in place as company manager with a 2 month's salary until a mediation hearing, but not enough money to pay his huge legal expenses: bail, Family lawyer, criminal lawyer, civil lawyer.
Now in the face of a Protective Order which will jail my son if he gets within 500 feet of the ex, she has invited him on dates twice.
My prayer requests here:
1) I think my son is saved, but if not, that he will be saved.
2) Salvation of ex girl friend.
3) Ephesians 3 for my son & for his ex (after getting saved if needed): that prayer which starts like this:
that according to the wealth of God's glory, you will be strengthened with power in the inner man that Christ may dwell in your hearts BY FAITH, that you know the love of Christ, that you may be filled to all the fullness of God.
4) my son may repent (if he has not done so) of his sin of having habitually fornicated with this girl, having shacked up apparently, & any other sin which invites chastisement from the Lord. I think that the prayer in Eph 3 covers this as it ends with being filled to all the fullness of God.
5) Change of Family Court judge if needed to a fair, just, non-prejudiced judge who can see through lying accusations.
6) The DA is persuaded to drop the case.
7) If it goes to Grand Jury that the Grand Jury will return NO BILL.
8) wisdom for his attorneys.
9) relief of the Protective Order which bans him from many hospitals where he has worked.
10) the timely deposition of witnesses to family court,
11) that his company will not be stolen from him.
12) assuming that his ex has lied, and doesn't repent & trust the Lord Jesus as her Savior, that she will be convicted & filled with fear, and drop her attacks.
