I have had IBS all of my life but now it seems more intense and I can't seem to control it. I have tried different things and still it rages on. Now it has caused me to have symptoms of deficiencies. I have tried seeking help at our local clinic but they aren't very helpful and I can't see a real doctor for some real solutions until September.
Please pray for healing and strength. Thank you all very much in advance.

I am no doctor, but I'd suggest you make sure you're getting a healthy diet, sufficient rest, and an all-round healthy lifestyle. Maybe that will help. Maybe it will fix the problem completely.

Lord Jesus, I lift up Shrimp to you in prayer, that healing would come...Lord, we stand on your promises & know that you are more than able to heal this IBS, that she has been dealing with for years now. I pray Lord that you would begin to show shrimp the path to a complete healing & recovery from this. If there is something in her diet or other causes for this, I pray that the healing will come. You Lord care deeply about all the details of our lives, as you are always listening to the prayers of your children. We trust that healing is on its way for Shrimp! In Jesus name..

I'll pray for you but at the same time it pays to always be happy regardless of what happens.
Yes, follow scripture and use it to help you but be well in yourself and trust in God -- regardless.

Be well.

I will pray for you. It may be worse now b/c of stress in college? Just a guess but either way may God heal you and restore your health! God Bless!

Lord? Please! You know I've lived with it all my life, and I've never seen nor heard of anyone being healed from it. Please! Let Shrimp be the one healed, and make it miraculous. I'd love that for her. Amen!

Some suggestions.
-- Keep a food and symptoms dairy. Anytime you eat something write it and the time down, and whenever the symptom hits, write down the symptom, (assuming more than one), and the time.

Try and figure out how long your intake becomes an "out-go." (Hubby takes hours. I take two days.)

After doing that for a while, you start catching if it's caused by certain foods. And, no, that doesn't mean you have to give up on that food if you love it. Sometimes it means you want to plan when to it eat it. Some foods I won't give up on, so I only eat it two days before I know I'm not going out or doing anything important that day. (Um, kind of a problem if something comes up that changes that though. lol) Sometimes the food just stops being worth the pain. (I didn't give up pork and beef for religious or political reason. I gave up on them for IBS reasons.)

-- Also, keep an eye out for foods that are supposed to be great for IBS. (Prunes = fiber. I like prunes. Prunes are good for people with IBS. Prunes hurt sooooo bad! And, dumb me! Didn't notice for months! This doesn't mean you should not take prunes, because you aren't me. And I'm the kind of person who can't take NyQuil because it wires me. Intake wise, I am usually the opposite of normal.)

-- Stress. Yes, we're supposed to have stress in life. A stress-free life is a life wasted. BUT some kinds of stress kick mine off, while others don't. (Hubby has a heart attack and my intestines behave. Makes no sense, but it's true. I have a doctor's appointment over some minor little thing, and poof! Guess what shows up just in time for me to leave. I can't really give up doctor appointments, so I get ready early, knowing if I wait until the last minute, I do not have time to get ready and go to the bathroom to do nothing. This is just reality, but it helps to be prepared for what sets it off.)

Suggestions, but I really am praying you're the one. That would be so cool! I used to hang out in a chatroom for people with disabilities. My favorite reason for someone to leave was because they were all better and had to go to work so didn't have the time anymore. I'd love you to be the one who gets healed!
