Some have already prayed for my son; so one reason for posting this is that you may praise the Lord in prayer now.
I am convinced that my son was unjustly accused by his ex-girl friend of sexual assault & of unlawful restraint (first a felony; 2nd a class A misdemeanor). He suffered an arrest & a night in jail until bail was posted, ~$250,000. He bailed out with a bailbondsman, losing $25,000, ten percent of it. This suddenly followed an ex parte temporary protective order, forbidding him to go to the places where he worked because the X might be there. He could not attend the start of the family court hearing because he was in jail. Suddenly the X claimed she owned his business and got a TRO to take over it. His lawyers were incompetent.
Stunned, he managed to hire some good attorneys. The business TRO was lifted putting him back in charge of his business, but with the case pending trial. But he has not been able to go to his normal places of work for over half a year now.
First the grand jury voted a NO BILL on the sexual assault. Next the prosecutor dropped the misdemeanor case, leaving him free of criminal charges. The prosecutor wrote that he could not (even) make a prima facie case vs my son. I think that the prosecutor suspects his x of perjury. Some of you I think prayed for my son, & I thank you; & let us praise the Lord that the criminal charges were dropped.
He still has to go back into Family Court to try to get the Protective Order vacated. The X girlfriend needs to be deposed & to cough up her cell phone(s) with emails & text messages. I think she claims she lost her cell phone & ipad. So we shall see. Truth needs to come out.
Meanwhile, my son's atty filed a malicious prosecution case vs the x girl-friend. Pray for her salvation. My son wishes that she find grace & wants to extend grace to her himself. I am fearful that he might get involved with her again. I think she has cost his company a lot of money and that certain stakeholders in the company need to be made whole.
And the trial over who owns the company also is pending for next fall. Also evidently she is not legally able to own his company because of a legal conflict of interest under federal law, so there is also a federal case going over this. The whole thing has been a nightmare. Thus my son still needs prayer. Thank you for prayer.
