PB:I need prayer for this. I have a phobia of rats and feel that satan actually sends me images of them. Nope, I'm not psychotic but I am depressed and an abuse survivor. I don't want anyone to tell me I'm nuts or crazy, I'm intelligent, lucid, and educated, but this is freaking me out. It seems to come when I am most vulnerable. How do you pray against this? Anyone have anything similar? Does the devil work in this way?
Woodl: Satan is powerful, he can come at you in many different forms. God said if we were able to see the spirit world we couldn't handle it. Yet many DO see it and handle it just fine. Seeing in the Spiritual realm is a GIFT from GOD. As long as your heart belong to the Lord satan can't touch you. This is not true. IF there is disobedience/sin upon your soul, he CAN and WILL attack. He can hit all around you but God won't aloud him to touch you. God DOES allow it if there is repentance to be done. Just remember what Jesus said, fear not for I am with you even to the end of the world. Yes, He is with us always, but if we are not walking righteously and have sin in our lives, He takes His hands of protection off and then the enemy can step in and attack. Anytime you feel like satan is trying to attack, you just whisper his name, satan trembles at his name. You DO mean the name of Jesus, right? Well that may or may not work. Why? Because there are many FALSE Jesus' and you must specify that it is Jesus CHRIST of Nazareth, or Jesus CHRIST ascended to Heaven, or Jesus CHRIST Lord of Lords and King of kings.
O mighty God I lift up priestessblue to you in the name of Jesus, let her feel your present and assure her that satan has no hold over her as long as she is yours. Satan is a lier and the father of all lies. In the Holy name of Jesus I pray, amen This is not about US praying for her. This is so that SHE can come into understanding about what HER authority in Christ is. This conversation is for the purpose of God, THROUGH us, teaching PB about her identity in Christ Jesus. She has authority over every unclean spirit in His name. Many 'know' this, but few DO it.
You take care of yourself and when you are feeling depressed or anything else,come on in to christian chat. You find good fellowship with people that love you, and remember Jesus love you. Seriously? How about if she feels depressed she takes authority over that spirit of depression and COMMAND IT TO LEAVE HER IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH!~!!??

The reason why the enemy is doing this to you without letting up is, because he has a right to do that, if there is an open door for him to come in. Exactly. People perish from LACK OF KNOWLEDGE. Hos 4:6. This does not mean you are not saved or that you do not love the Lord. It simply means that you have not YET BEEN TAUGHT about deliverance, spiritual warfare and how the dynamics of the spiritual realm work!! From what you are telling me there still might be. So ask Holy Spirit to reveal to you IF there is an open door, what it is and how it got open in the first place so that YOU, PB can take authority by 1~confessing any sin if necessary, (this removes the 'right' of the spirit to have at you), 2~command it to leave, and 3~ cancel it's assignment from the kingdom of darkness over your life. You said that you are depressed and an abuse survivor. That is one indication that there still is. Abuse is like a trauma to you and your soul and/or body. In the spiritual realm demonic forces can take advantage of that and build a stronghold in you soul (mind, emotions and will) from where they then can torment you, which they have been doing. This is true. If ALL aspect of the abuse were not dealt with, there is an open door to your soul. And it's not even that you opened it yourself!! Abuse is the number one way that doors are opened in children by their abusers! So please....do not go down the 'guilt' path!! There is NO shame in Christ, remember? One thing they do is to try to drive you crazy with these images. YEP! There is a spirit of depression that is very common after abuse also. There is Pride, Fear, Rebellion, Rejection and even Religion that come in because of abuse! This one wants to make sure that you are not getting out of that slump, by hitting you in your emotions and weakening your will to do anything about it. That is the strategy of the devil and his minions. BUT GOD's strategy is that you come into understanding about who you are and who He is in you so that you can walk in the same authority and power that He does. How cool is that?? Really, PB, the ONLY thing you are lacking in order for you to become the OVERCOMER that God created you to be is a little education!
In a nutshell - and there is much more to this - you have to go back to the origin of the breach, which here might be the abuse (or more - I don't know your whole background) and first of all forgive your abuser. That is very important! This is the very first step. And you do not have to worry about 'feeling' forgiveness. Forgiveness is not a feelling, it is a CHOICE. Without forgiveness you can't really be healed and you hold yourself back. If you have done that already, with your whole heart! then the next step is to get right with God on every level and about anything through repentance. Forgive yourself for holding on to unforgiveness...God has already forgiven you so you have not RIGHT to hold it against yourself. Even if it might not have been your fault (yes, even the abuse), Seriously, it was NOT your fault!! any curses you spoke over yourself, that others spoke or generational or even dedicational curses need to be broken. Renounce all word curses/negativity that you have spoken over yourself. Renounce all negative words spoken by other people. Purpose to learn who you are in Christ and that you are...truly ARE the apple of God's eye! It is His desire that you step into the authority and power that Christ died to provide for you. Anything where you or your family line before had dabbled in the occult has to be repented of. Get a book about generational curses, read it and pray any prayers that are in the back of the book. Iniquity is in the BLOOD...it comes down through DNA. And while Christ became a curse for us, WE have to apply what He did to our situations and spiritual lives.
The next step is to renounce these things, this is like ripping up a contract that the enemy had against you to do these things to you, because of sin, trauma, curses, etc. It's as simple as speaking out that you are renouncing the sin and the action behind this and have nothing to do with it anymore. Correct. Confess the sin, repent, receive forgiveness. Then forgive all people that were involved in any situation that was not of God that affected you. BREAK the curses of trauma, abuse, neglect, rejection, fear, hatred, pride, the little girl mentality (there is always some of this when girls have been abused), rebellion and whatever else Holy Spirit brings to your mind. Then command the spirits attached to those curse to leave you and never return to you or to any of your children. (If you have kids, include them in the breaking off of stuff over their lives. If not, pray it over your future kids.)
Then the main thing is important not to forget. The enemy is not always leaving right then and there, at times they have to be evicted by force like a squatting tenant that just had already been served their eviction papers.
You need to cast these things out from you by just telling them to go out and leave you alone and not to come back ! to get out of your head, mind, emotions. If you can do that with someone that is with you at that point that might help to speak that out over you, but you can do it by yourself. And DECLARE that you belong to Christ and that you have the MIND of Christ. Declare this daily...to yourself, to the Lord and to any enemy that might be lurking, waiting for a door to open...do not forget Matthew 12:44 "Then it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came’; and when it comes, it finds it unoccupied, swept, and put in order" They WILL be persistant. YOU need to be more persistent. It is imperative that you be in the Word of God daily; that you spend time in conversation with Him, daily, time in praise and worship, DAILY. You can do much in the shower, in the car as you drive, even while you vacuum!
Be sure before all that actually to put on the armor of God (Eph 6). Put a hedge of protection over you and plead the blood of Jesus over you, spirit, soul and body. Putting on the armor of God is not just reciting the list of the armor every morning. It is the living of a righteous lifestyle...a Character issue, if you will.
Then ask the Holy Spirit to re-fill you up and put on a garment of praise for the cloak of heaviness and depression, then you can think on good thoughts and read your Bible and memorize scripture etc...
Now this is just very bare bones description of deliverance. There are several good books out there that could help you also to learn more about this or even internet sites:
PB:Warrior777, appreciate your words, but no six year old girl is responsible for ANY kind of abuse. EVER. PERIOD. END OF SENTENCE. Got it? Hope I'm hearing you wrong b/c I am a very feisty person if I feel I am being disrespected in any way. You ARE a feisty one! Which is the way God made you! It is one of the reasons you were able to survive! And yes, you DID hear him wrong. Let's face it...he's a guy and they don't usually SPEAK our language! Ha! So I"m hoping that with me, being female, you will get a better understanding of the help we are trying to give you. There is no shame in being ignorant unless it is a choice to stay that way. Knowledge IS power, especially against the enemy of our souls!
OK, now, I must ask:
Are you having VISIONS of rats? Or are there real rats invading your space? Are you dreaming of rats? For the dreams and visions, God is trying to help you understand that there is an evil, devouring presence influencing your spiritual life. He allows you to see this so that YOU can take ACTION! IF there are real rats, are they coming into your house or apartment? Call the exterminator!! This time of year is prime time for these critters to look for WARM places for the winter. I speak from experience as we are having a huge problem with mice...almost 20 this summer alone!
As for spiritual warfare? If you are not warring against the enemy of your soul, then you are in agreement with him. You either know who you are and take authority and fight or you suffer. Hos 4:6. If you have questions, I am trained in both deliverance and spiritual warfare. Just email me.
