I had a friend who works with the youth at my church. She is young and also very immature. As a teenager she made out with about every boy in the church. As an adult she proudly shares how many of the boys begged her to sleep with them and other extremely inappropriate details about the boys assets. She seems also to still be of the teenage mindset that anything short of penetration goes. That's just one example of her immaturity.
For the past year or two she has run a teen group where they consistently talk about teen topics of interest. I recall many conversations where she would label the teens. This girls a lesbian. This girl hates Jesus. That boy is ... Since i started hearing these things from her, i began developing closer relationships with the teens myself.
One of the girls in her group is 15. Her parents are divorced. She has a "perfect" older sister. And her stepdad is a bit passive probably for good reason. This girl is completely out of control. I spent a bit of time with her in a group the other day and it was like taking a kid through a candy store. However, the thing that concerns me even more was what she said. Her behavior would be one of a few things. Either she has attention span comparable to a gnat, or she is desperately seeking attention. Or she is bipolar. Her friends say she cuts, but many have observed her highs and lows. Some of the comments she was making were ideations of grandeur---wanting to jump of buildings, run naked through the rain in traffic... Etc
I may suggest to her parents that she be evaluated. Please pray for her.

Jordache, I commend the way you've handled this so far. This is a serious situation and it's very difficult to determine how you may best help her. I will pray for this young lady and for strength and wisdom for you, as well. God bless!

I don't know about the structure of your church but i think you need to address the Elders or the Pastor to deal with these situations.

May God create peace and unity where you are sis, God Bless.

Oh, my heart hurts to read this! :(

Poor baby! Who but God knows what she's going through?
(certainly not she...:( )

I do think you should say something to her parents (at the very least), Jordache.
That's a good thought...and good work, not letting this little one slip through the cracks!

She is most definitely on my heart, and in my prayers.
As are you, as you do the Lord's work in assisting this girl. ♥

May the Lord give grace and mercy and understanding and wisdom,
in Jesus' Name.

I will be talking to her parents but I think I want to hang out with her at least once more to observe so I can give her parents more info.
