My back just popped out of place and I am in alot of pain right now. I have stuff I need to get done here at home, and right now I'm laying down in bed with a Thermacare heat wrap on my back.. Please pray for my back to pop back into place quickly so I can go to my mailbox and get my cat's medicine that she needs to make HER feel better.. Thank you. :)

Wait! Her cat drinks tequila?

(I'm hoping I got you to laugh Blue. lol)

Having this fixation I have with teddy bears, it probably comes as no surprise I have friends online with the same fixation. One friend survived Hurricane Katrina with very little, except her two favorite teddy bears -- J.D. and Tequila Teddy. I knew her (and the two teddies) for over a year before I caught the connection between their names and alcohol. I did get Tequila's connection, but... J.D.? It had been so long since I even thought of Jack Daniels to connect the dots. lol (They also live in New Orleans, so... really? I couldn't get that?)

I am praying for your back now, but I'm also hoping I'm too late, because it popped back in.

As an expert on bad backs, (not to be confused with an expert on how to fix bad backs, by any means), have to tried the hanging down thing yet? Generally, this is done by standing, but if you could stand, you'd be at the mailbox before asking for prayers, so I'm hoping your bed is high off the ground. The idea is to relax the top half of your body, until it hangs loosely, like you're doing a toe touch, but not really putting any effort into it. Just let the back go downward relaxed, and sometimes it pops the spine back into place.

Big problem with this suggestion, even if your bed is high enough. What happens if you get the top half of your body hanging off the bed, but your back doesn't pop back? How do you get up from that position? But, if you've faced that before (and hubby has... it was quite the production getting him back in bed), and your bed is high enough, try it.

Thanks for the prayers, Lynn. Yes indeed, my back popped back into place overnight. I took 3 500-mg extra strength Tylenol, followed a few hours later by 4 200-mg ibuprofen and a Dilaudid.. Ended up puking because I took it on an empty stomach.. Who knows, maybe throwing up was what popped my back into place..lol :) Now my hip is aching because that too, is trying to pop out of place.. :(

I'd be surprised if puking didn't work. It does do the trick, but feels so lousy, I wouldn't have ever thought to recommend it. lol

I'm glad you're up and about. May your cat keep you warm as she gets better too.
