My grandma said her final goodbyes on Friday, and although she can not longer speak she is in pain in her last few days. I am praying for a quick and peaceful passing so she no longer suffers. I am also praying for my family to be comforted. I am praying for Gods strength during this time so I can be there for my family. My grandma Sarah has been an amazing mother to 10 children and 60+ grand, great and great great grandchildren. There are a lot of sad people around and it is difficult to comfort everyone. I am praying for the Lords words to be spoken when needed.

Thanks family! <3

Father, grant that your peace and comfort will be in this family, and your presence be felt. Amen.

I've been thinking of these verses as I've read each of your updates, cozy....

2 Cor. 1:3-5
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,
who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
For just as the sufferings of Christ are ours in abundance, so also our comfort is abundant through Christ.

First, note that our God is the Father of mercies and the God of ALL comfort.
Second, that He himself comforts us in ALL our affliction.
Third that the comfort is ours through the Lord Jesus.

God has a purpose in everything that happens to us, and when we are afflicted and receive His comfort, we are then able to
pass that along to others who are afflicted in some way.

Note what Paul says next...

2 Cor. 1:8-11
For we do not want you to be unaware, brethren, of our affliction which came to us in Asia, that we were burdened excessively, beyond our strength, so that we despaired even of life;
indeed, we had the sentence of death within ourselves so that we would not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead; who delivered us from so great a peril of death, and will deliver us, He on whom we have set our hope. And He will yet deliver us, you also joining in helping us through your prayers, so that thanks may be given by many persons on our behalf for the favor bestowed on us through the prayers of many.

So we place our trust and hope in God, and we pray for you and yours, dear friend.
Sorry for the long post. :)

love,
ellie
