Ty; you to. There is my wife and me.

We have friends in Wellington; if we go there one day we'd like to cross the Cook Straits and see the Marlborough Sounds, and do the same route as Kathleen Mansfield describes in her story about the Picton ferry, 'The Crossing'. I've got Terry Sturn's book: The Oxford Companion to New Zealand Literature'; I think he's from Victoria Univ. of Wellington.

Sounds like you've done your research, well done. :) We are experiencing our first cyclone luis in New Zealand, its a minor one at category 3, but its enough to be ruffle the feathers of the locals lol. I went and saw on youtube some of the massive cyclones that America experiences, came away speechless. I hope your experiencing warmer weather then us. :)

...actually we have this week had among the biggest dumpings of snow of the winter....I've been digging with a shovel. :)

It's true about the snow, but then, this is Canada: rather like living on the top of Mount Egmont or the Franz Joseph Glacier.

Not when it's minus 20C, and the winter lasts for several months. People just hibernate, where possible.

Hope you manage to sort your studies, anyway, by God grace.

We are still under piles of snow; somewhat diminished, but still there... :)

A bit like living on the slopes of Mount Egmont...
