Hi brothers and sisters!!

When I was 18 years old, God gave the chance to study in one of the most expensive Universities of Latin America... For me, it has been hard to keep the score I need because the subjects are difficult...

On Monday and Tuesday I did the most difficult exams I ever have done, I have a scholarship... please, pray for me :(

Listen, I know it might seem really challenging. Just do your best that's all anyone can ask. You have to try and understand something very important here. So I'm gonna try and briefly explain it to you. So I hope this really sinks in.

Listen, carefully...

When you were in grade school you tried to get the highest marks. But for what? Maybe to look like a good student, to impress your parents or whatever. So sometimes in university people think along those lines still. They think that getting good marks is so important. When in reality it accounts for like maybe 1% of the chances you'll get in the career world.

Here's the key....

What matters most is your "connections". Not your marks. You know the saying that goes... "it's not what you know, it's who you know!" That's the key to getting a good career. Networking networking networking!!!! That's gonna comprise 99% of your chances to get a good career, not your marks. So don't be a fool thinking that marks are all that important. Get through it so you can graduate, that's important, but what matters most is you start networking big time. Talk to career counsellors, company HR people, company managers and presidents, other students now working in the field you want to work in, go to business mixers and meetings etc etc etc. And MAKE SOME BUSINESS CARDS! Something memorable and that you can hand out to everyone you meet. Get people on your facebook, twitter, get there emails, get them on your cell phone. So you get well connected. So when you graduate you'll already have a job waiting unlike the rest of the people who are clueless when it comes to this real world knowledge.

Remember it's not what you know, it's "who you know". Say that over and over. It's important. Marks or grades mean basically nothing. The people you know in the industry is the most important to securing a job or starting your own business.

Okay there you got it! Dear lord please help her to succeed amen!

Lord God of Knowledge and Wisdom, Thank you for granting confidence to your daughter in what You have invested in her. Thank you that Your perfect Love casts out all fear. And that she lacks no good thing for she belongs to You. May she reap the harvest of her hard work. Amen. :)

You can do it sister! Blessings.
