My relationship with my fiance of 2.5 years, and 6 months additional of trying to repair it on my part, is over. In as much as I have given up as the extent of the problems have finally been made clearer.

I have come to recognise that spiritually she is broken. She has foundational issues that need to be repaired in her life about relationships, love, and demonstratable repentence and I am not in a position to help. There are deep seated emotional issues words can't even describe yet. My trying to help probably made it worse.
I can not meet her needs. Only God can. And I am in the way.

Please continue to pray for her about this. I don't know if I will post any updates or not, but I suspect this will take months if not years. I would really appreciate it if you ould keep her in your prayers into the future for me. If you do, and want to ask about her as time goes on, please do ask me privately.

I still love her. I don't know if I'd take her back if she asked now. I'd need to see proof of real change if I did.
She is still my friend. I don't know what I am to her, or exactly how much value she assigns to me.

Typing this is my way of coping with the loss and the pain. Talking it through. She has chosen other ways.

Our graceous God and father in heaven, We come before you and life up my friend, who's name I won't mention as this goes onto google. Please protect and care for your daughter. Please look after her for me. Grant her mercy and begin to work in her heart and mind with your Holy Spirit and give her understanding of the problems she has not been able to comprehend, the things that she knows are there but cannot yet understand. You have brought her clarity on these things in the past. It has taken time but it has always been in your timing.
Father I plead with you to bring healing to her whole life soon. To release her from the struggles that she has within herself through an understanding of the problems and then finding solutions to them. Grant her wisdom Lord, to make good and godly decisions in her life that lead her on a good path, rather than those other options that are around her. She knows what she should do about some things so please knock on her conscience loudly. May she seek your will and do what she knows you want in the individual situations in her life.
I ask Lord that you watch over her family also. The family that I thought I was to marry into. That I became close to. They too need guidence from you. She is the main Christian influence in their loves so please bless them through her and make her into a good representitive of Christ in their prescence. Work a mircale here Lord and bring them to saving faith in your time, by your means. Particularly watch over the young ones as they grow. Protect them from errorous teaching. Bless them with a godly love for their family. Comfort me as I miss them a lot.
Particularly Lord I pray for her father. You know the whole situation here and you know what needs to be done to make things right. Bless him and do good to him. Soften his heart. Have him do good to his family. Bless his labour and provide for them through him. May he one day forgive me.
I surrender all to you. Thank you for the years I had with her, and the love we shared.
God bless J.

In the name of our precious Lord Jesus, and by the power of his atoning death and resurrection. Amen.
