Today I just found out I needed and scheduled surgery on my shoulder. I got injured at work back in December that involved my back and my shoulder, however the severity of the back pain mostly shadowed what had been going on with my shoulder until recently. Last week I had an MRI which shows a few tears and irritation to the rotator cuff. It's been catching and popping constantly, has drastically impacted my ability to play my musical instruments, and has been and getting weaker and weaker for so long that it has been decided that surgery is the best option. As of now the surgery is set up for this coming Wednesday, so hopefully my adjuster doesn't try to dispute it even though there's months of medical records showing there's a problem because of the work injury, haha. I'd appreciate any prayers!

Why not recieve your total healing instead of hoping for medical solution. Jesus Christ wants you alright. Be healed in the name of the lord Jesus. Amen

Well, I just got home about 5 hours ago-the surgery went well :) It took twice as long as expected but everything is now fixed. Meds are starting to wear off and I'm definitely feeling that they had to pop my shoulder out of socket a few times, haha. I appreciate the prayers!

It's been a few days and I'm quite a bit more coherent now. Turns out there was a lot more damage to the joint then expected, and they had to not only fix the rotator cuff but also cinch up the ligaments and shave away some bone in the socket. Apparently my shoulder has been so loose that it basically has been out of the socket since December. At physical therapy I'm already ahead of the game, which is great! I'm so thankful that this has been going so well :) And by the end of it my shoulder should be better off than before ever getting hurt, and I'll have 4 gnarly scars from the procedure! Haha :)

I just went back for my post-op today and got the stitches removed (YAY)!! I also learned that there was a huge miss-communication, and I haven't supposed to have been doing the physical therapy that was prescribed before surgery, which I have been doing... Because of the surgery being different than originally planned, my physical therapy may have basically been undoing the whole point of the surgery :( I'm not to use my shoulder at all for the next 2 weeks and can just hope and pray that too much damage hasn't already been done. I know that God will bring me though this :)
