As some of you may know, Northern Ireland has suffered from the effects of extreme sectarianism over the past 40 years, with Protestant Loyalist paramilitary groups clashing with Catholic Republican paramilitaries. The war went on from 1969 through to the 1990s and most would say that the war has never ended.

I'd ask you to pray that Northern Ireland will not return to those days again and that sectarianism would be defeated in NI. We hear of murders here every week, purely because the person was of a different religion and this needs to stop! Please pray for the situation here in NI, that the people who cause this horror will be brought to justice and that we will see and end to Paramilitary rule in parts of our country.
