My husband got an email earlier today about a woman he was stationed with in Alabama. She was sick and the doctors thought it was the flu. They were treating her for the flu symptoms but her fever would not break. It got up to 107 and she had a seizure which caused a stroke. She is now in a coma on life support and the doctors are trying to get her husband to let her go. She is 26 and has a baby girl that is somewhere around a year old. I know that in this situation there isn't much to be done but we all know that God can perform miracles. I ask that you pray His will be done whatever the outcome and to give her husband the strength to let her go if need be and her family and friends to deal with this loss. Also for the little girl who will go without a mother.

I'll pray, God can take her out of that coma and fully restore her to the way she was before she even got sick.

I will pray for her and the whole family. Sometimes medical advice is just wrong period. I've seen cases where doctors had a fatalistic outlook and then the person recovered. But even if there is nothing they can do and she is beyond medical hope, God can do all things. There's never an end to hope when you know the Lord. God can and does still perform miracles so I will be praying for one. But as you said, we don't always know the Will and Mind of God and so if it's meant that she go to be with Him then I'll continue to pray for the whole family. God can bring peace and comfort to us in any circumstance.

I have an update. We got an email letting us know that she is responding to them but they aren't sure the extent of the brain damage because she hasn't fully awoke yet but is responding more than the doctors ever thought and they are amazed. The stroke affected one side of her face and as of now that is all they know. God and prayers are awesome.

Lord and Father, almighty and Eternal God, by your blessings you give us strength and support in our family and support in our frailty;turn with kindness toward this your servant, (Name). Free her from all illness and restore her to health, so that in the sure knowledge of your goodness she will greatfully bless your HOLY NAME. We ask this through CHRIST OUR LORD. AMEN.

God bless my friend!
