Worried

It appears you are afraid to die so that is my first concern. Have you received Jesus Christ and do you confess Him as Lord and are you willing to follow Him? If not, that is the biggest concern and we can help you with that. If you are then here are a few things for you,

1. This world is not your home. We are all simply passing on. The next stop is where we end up eternally so that is where we have to keep our eyes.
2. John 11:25 "I am the resurrection and the life. He who lives and believes in me will live even though he dies and whoever believes in me WILL NEVER DIE. Do you believe this (Jesus said this Martha)?
3. I John 5:11-12 "And this is the testimony, that God has given us ETERNAL life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life and he who does not have the Son of God does not have life."

The benefit of being a Christian is that we have a light shining before us showing us the road to an eternal home. Jesus Christ is the PRINCE OF PEACE and in Him you will have peace in this life even when you a facing a great storm or even death. That is the most important thing for you to get hold of now.

If you walk with Jesus, you have no need to fear ANYTHING. In the dark ages many people came to know Jesus Christ because those who had the PLAQUE were abandoned except by the true Christians who took care of the sick. They were not afraid of the death around them. Because so many people were dying (Christians also) but they overcame death which is the true enemy of all men, people came to Jesus, received him, and were baptized.

So where are you? How can we help you now?

I've found Jesus in my life but I have sinned while trying to be perfect. I've heard that if you sin once before you die, you end up in sheol. That is my BIGGEST fear. But anyways, I just think that I am not ready to go. I want to actually do more in my life before I die and get judged by god. I want to repent from my mistakes and try to convert my family.

Have you been eating a lot of canalope?

I'll make a risky statement: we don't try to be perfect - because we can't.

We are all sinners by nature, and will remain sinful creatures till the day we die. The only hope that we have is that, through Christ's redemptive work on the Cross, we have been made righteous by God by His grace and justification.

We are saved not by what we do (which is precisely what the Pharisees tried to do, and who were constantly rebuked by Jesus), but by the grace of God given to those who received Him into their hearts as their Saviour and Lord.

This does not mean that we can sin as we please - as the apostle Paul mentioned - but that we can rest assured that as we work OUT (and not work FOR) our salvation, we can have the peace of mind to know that His grace is enough to see us through.

I'm uncertain if your fear stems from a lack of understanding of what it means to be saved by grace, but I urge you not to overwhelmed with worry about whatever's going on with the cantalopes. (sorry, no such things where I come from!)

Muffyn has spoken well, that is why we need to try to take every thought captive to the obediance of Christ.
And if the Holy Spirit alerts you, that you have sinned or are about to...that is where grace and faith come in.
If you realize that you are hanging on to anger ( It's a Sin) ask for forgiveness and you are forgiven by His grace.
If you catch yourself being weak and wanting to sin...have the faith to beleive... that if you ask Jesus for a way out
or the strength, you can walk away from it.

As for the cantalope, I will pray that you are safe.

Your profile says you're in VA. The five states that have had any cases at all are Colorado, Texas, Indiana, Nebraska and Oklahoma. None of which are near VA. Also, they have located the source company and already issued a recall. Illinois, Wyoming, Tennessee, Utah, Texas, Colorado, Minnesota, Kansas, New Mexico, North Carolina, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Arizona, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania are the states selected for recall. Notice VA isn't even in that list. Seems as though VA is a low risk area for this. I know these things can be scary at times, but you're way overreacting.
Also, the others are right. You can't be perfect. Right now it sounds like you're new to faith and have very little knowledge of what you believe and why. Which is ok for now. Don't worry about perfection, long as you desire to live your right life according to God, and out of genuine desire want to grow and learn, thats all you need to worry about. As long as that is your attitude and the actions you try to live out then you don't need to worry.
