Yes, we cannot produce any genuine good works on our own. The first and greatest commandment is to love the Lord your God with all of your heart, mind, and soul. If we focus on this, then all the rest will follow. God will produce his good works through us.

This debate sometimes gets confusing for me. God made the choice to send his Son to die for our sins. Many places says that Jesus came not only for our sins but for the sins of the whole world. So then the questions becomes, if Jesus died for the sins of the whole world then why are only...

I don't think animals go to heaven or hell. Seems to me that they just cease to exist when they die. That's just my opinion, though. Not sure exactly why they die, but if they didn't then the world would have already been overrun with them. I don't think they have the capability of sinning...
