I made these again today. This time, I omitted the cinnamon and allspice, and added 2 tbsp of instant coffee. I found that it added a really deep, rich flavour to complement the cocoa. I suggest y'all try it as well!

That's funny! I do save my bacon fat, but normally I use it for scrambled eggs and frying rice. All my siblings love the extra flavour!
