    Jesus is God

That's human.. person to person forgiveness. A person can say they forgive someone who hasn't offended them directly, but they would be strange. Jesus ..like I posted can forgive entire groups of people and they hadn't directly offended Him.

    Jesus is God

Well I'll find scripture for this.. but Jesus does the same thing. Same essence/substance as the Father.. but not actually the Father.

    Jesus is God

The things Jesus did while in the flesh were fully God activities. He was doing something like 'self-limiting' but was never lesser than the Father-- only in position. And then that changed when He ascended. Jesus forgave sin in the 3rd person while in the flesh. That's fully God powers...

    Jesus is God

But now Jesus isn't limited by the flesh.. so they should be equal now.

    Not By Works

The 'whatsoever shall be bound '.. verses have context around them of conflict resolution with a sinning brother. So the binding and loosing is to do with God blessing the process of resolving sin disputes among gathered church members. The keys are to do with this process. Having the...

    Jesus is God

I agree with the Father being distinct to the Son. Not one persona. Two personas. And with the Holy Spirit .. three distinct personas. But actual seperation I don't see. Because the way the interelate isn't of seperateness. What the Father does, the Son does and the Holy Spirit does...

Is the Christian walk always happy?

I heard in response to world war 2.. there were many who put on a positive frame no matter what. Men would not talk about the war and emphasized prosperity. The problem was some men addressed the trauma from the war but others swept it under the rug and it came out in anger toward their...

Is the Christian walk always happy?

Well I'm independent Baptist and my church is multi cultural. Same with most independent Baptists in my city. So can't tar us all with the same brush. But I get what you are saying

Is the Christian walk always happy?

I'm not saying he isn't saved. I'm saying the prosperity gospel he preaches is more motivational self enhancement than true christianity

Is the Christian walk always happy?

(John 15:18) If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. (John 15:19) If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. (John 15:20) Remember the word...

Is the Christian walk always happy?

To follow Jesus, we would be going against worldly ways. As time goes on.. this going against is getting more and more narrow as the world gets more ungodly. So we can expect persecution, shunning and suffering for Christ. The joy is in knowing it's all for Him.. but this isn't being 'happy '...

    Jesus is God

Polytheism.. more than one god like beings that are seperate to each-other. In the bible they were primarily statues that could not speak, interact or move. Made in the likeness of men and creatures. They can be lesser than each other and unequal. Not all powerful or everywhere...

    Jesus is God

God manifest in the flesh of Jesus.... yet Jeaus being lesser than the Father... is what Runningman is saying. Only way that is happening is if God being in the flesh is ontologically inferior to the Father. Then that brings you into Polytheistic waters.

    Does Christ Choose

Chosen to be part of the mission He had with the disciples.. but Judas didn't believe in Jesus. Another question is how could Judas be chosen... and by that meaning eternally saved and then be posessed by Satan? I think the answer is he wasn't chosen as in saved eternally. Chosen as in...

    Confess, Repent, and Believe.

Yes true. But God dealing with a local church as a whole and an individual in that church are not always the same. A church receiving the Holy Spirit 'in the midst' is not the same for an individual

    Confess, Repent, and Believe.

There is also the question of what it is when an entire group receives the gift of the Holy Spirit vs an individual. Is it the same thing?

    Jesus is God

Jesus' status is more than a man. He is an example to follow.. but we can't be Jesus. I need to look at this more. But first impressions is that in the OT.. Jesus wasn't in the flesh as man at all.. but with the Father and Holy Spirit. So there is not problem with God not being man in the...

    Jesus is God

Sinless, exact representation of God. That means Jesus is God. He has all the attributes. A person's representation as a child of God is entirely different to Jesus status as Son.
