How does this affect or relate to our mission to be lights in this world sharing the love and truth of Jesus Christ in the here and now? Paul served his purpose, so what's the quibble? (honestly not trying to derail, just want to know the crux of this debate OP's offering)

I'm not into bashing someone just because they're a different political party and I gotta go with the Bible where it says many times to pray for our leaders. God knows everything and so there are reasons we don't know about, that's when we trust the Word. There are and were some hideous leaders...
