The Very Controversial List of Foods That Belong in the Lake of Fire -- What Are YOUR Picks?

I think the reason my grandmother cooked a softshell turtle one time is because it had swallowed her hook and she couldn't save it, so she cooked it lol. Otherwise, I highly doubt she would have. I have a network of crayfish under my yard. When the yard fills with water, they come out and it's...

I've had smoked eel. I got a tin of it at Nam Dae Mun in the Atlanta metro one of the last times I was in the ATL metro. Not bad. I washed it down with a PBR. Several years ago I had calamari at an Italian Restaurant. I'm personally really not as into seafood as I am stuff I can pull up out of...

It was not a trick question, but I can see where it may have appeared to look like that way. Sometimes it's hard to tell online. I'm a wee bit abnormal here and there, but not too bad (well, opinions vary lol). You didn't lose! I was just genuinely curious. Thanks for answering! Or attempting...

I'm definitely not a sushi person (sushi is actually on my list of foods I can't stand lol). But, that looks interesting. I like Asian grocery stores. Lots of interesting items, I especially like the produce area.

I grew up out in the country with a decent amount of backwoods meals. My taste buds may be wired a bit differently  What food, Gary, would you consider to be the opposite of punishing my taste buds?

Hmmm, very interesting. If I try them, I'll do so cautiously. Someone asked me one time if I had tried eel. I hadn't, but not long after I did try it. I actually enjoyed it. It didn't make my top 10 list of favorite foods, but it was alright.

Admittedly, I don't really have much experience with anchovies or anchovy paste. I have no aversion to trying it though...and I'm not sure why I have not done so! Maybe it will be the next adventure after Vegemite

I love working with zucchini! From savory to sweets. I use zucchini to make casserole, quiches, bread...and then sweets: whoopie pies, crumb cake, brownies, cookies.

Or try them in a smoothie. Sometimes when I'm not keen on a veggie I'll throw it in a smoothie and I can't even taste it among all the other nice things in the smoothie (like fruit, oats, Greek yogurt, etc.).

I've eaten seasoned roasted crickets and thought they were quite tasty. It's was better than having popcorn while watching a movie! Well, to me it was...

Cucumbers is an odd one for me. I used to like them and ate them nearly everyday in a salad for supper. I've noticed that in the last couple of years I'm just not keen on them and pass them by. It's okay though, 'cause get other veggies into me.

I tend take to a lot of savory (and other) things others either don't take to or have to work their way to liking. Although, I have to admit I didn't like that softshell turtle my grandmother cooked and served me one time. That's been a while back, and I can still remember the pungent flavor. It...

They are spotted, but it's soft...for example, not like some robin eggs that have prominent spots. Of course, it always variates with all eggs. Guinea eggs are a bit richer than chicken eggs, but not as noticeably rich/flavorful as duck eggs. And a side note for anyone else reading this, I am...

I like duck eggs. When my mother was alive, she raised ducks and would often bring me duck eggs. I found that they have a richer flavor than chicken eggs. When I lived in the country, we had chickens and guineas, so I've eaten guinea eggs too. Quail eggs are small, but that doesn't matter if...

When I was a child, I was allergic to chicken eggs. I was able to eat quail eggs though. My great grandfather just so happened to raise quail, so I didn't go without eggs.

Thank you for the helpful tip. I look forward to receiving my jar of Vegemite and reporting back with my personal verdict of how I fancied it (or didn't fancy it) using your guidance here. I won't be surprised if I find that I like it. I seem to like stuff others avoid or won't even try. For...

I prefer it fried too. Very enjoyable to me. I've never tried it raw, sliced, in a salad. I will have to remember to try that one of these days!
