LoL, I've never thought of myself as an adrenaline junkie. I do seem to have always been around friends who aren't as "brave" as I am lol. There's been at least 3 times I've been swimming and there would be snakes swimming around. Each of those times was with a different friend and each time the...

insensible (Your post gave me quite the giggle. Thank you for brightening my day and enlightening me about the trouble with ankles! I just don't know what else is worthy to add to that! You are extraordinary. I admire that you don't like fitting in with existing stereotypes!)

astonish (Those types of gals only wear skirts...ones down to the ankles. I guess they think men can't handle seeing ankles? I didn't realize ankles were distracting. Interestingly, it seems like most ultra conservatives I know are Zionists who seem to be okay with crony Capitalism. Maybe they...

can you guys post something funny please?

I already have a compatible tv. I can't remember when I turned it on last lol. And I don't need a player, I have my dad's player. Will I ever use it? Maybe not. I don't have very many VHS tapes. I'll probably just throw them out or put them in a garage sale for any old school folks out there. I...

perplex (I agree with you. There were definitely appealing aspects about the hippie culture. I also sometimes think that conservatives can be too harshly conservative. I lean conservative on various issues (guns being a main one), but I also find myself being annoyed at certain more shallow...

Thank you so much! It indeed turned into the worst year of my life...as if all the pain I've ever experienced in my life (including my mother's passing) had all been put together and then some. The Lord has given me strength to endure, for which I'm very thankful. And thank you for the blessing...

mysterious (Although, I think they said "man" I also think it was more portrayed that way in shows/movies. I used to want to be around during the hippie days. The music was phenomenal then! I wasn't into the idea of all the free love and stuff though. I'm way too much of a prude. lol I just...

far-out (Hippie slang. It wasn't my thing. I have nothing against people doing it for medical reasons, but I do think a lot of people make it too much a part of their lives. It's better than hard drugs, which I've never done. But, it's not something I want to be around....I get the munchies as...

As I mentioned in my post, I was in my mid 20s. I also mentioned that I worked in retail. So, definitely not a kid lol. It was not a small hill. Going down that hill on your rear is not a recommended experience for anyone at any age.

That part about putting wax on the sled (well, in his case a non-chloric silicon based lubricant) and the sparks made me think of Chevy Chase in National Lampon's Christmas Vacation. I had an old steel runner sled when I was growing up. I loved that sled. I used it when I lived out in the...
