Can the nonelect ever be born-again? (2 Kings 22:27) With the elect thou wilt be elect: and with the perverse thou wilt be perverted.

Brother, no need to worry about me. The Lord Jesus is my Savior and has been for some 45 years. I'm sure of my salvation because of what scripture has said concerning those who believe the gospel. I am sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.

Can the nonelect ever be born-again? (2 Kings 22:27) With the elect thou wilt be elect: and with the perverse thou wilt be perverted.

I am full aware of what those verses are saying. Your private interpretation brings in the RCC doctrine of fatalism taught by John Calvin.

    Predestination is misunderstood...

For whosever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? 1...

Can the nonelect ever be born-again? (2 Kings 22:27) With the elect thou wilt be elect: and with the perverse thou wilt be perverted.

All selected Calvinists verses but none show that God knew anyone before the foundation of the world.

    Predestination is misunderstood...

Paul was reminded them of their salvation and how it occurred and what they have coming to them now that they are in Christ. 1. hear the gospel 2. believe the gospel 3. sealed by the Holy Spirit of promise which now guarantees the future redemption of their body.

Can the nonelect ever be born-again? (2 Kings 22:27) With the elect thou wilt be elect: and with the perverse thou wilt be perverted.

Biblically speaking, the “us” are the saints in Christ. The word elect is not found. That’s the problem I have with Calvinists, they take a man made RCC doctrine and read it into every verse.

    Predestination is misunderstood...

None of this is salvation. It's just not there. Again, Romans defines what the believer is predestinated to...the redemption of the body, when we will be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ. It is a future event. Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be...

    Predestination is misunderstood...

All men are drawn to the Lord, but not all men will receive him as Savior.

    Predestination is misunderstood...

Let me rephrase, according to scripture, what is the believer predestinated for? You're claiming the adoption is salvation. Scripture states that the adoption is yet future, it is the redemption of the body.

    Predestination is misunderstood...

The "drawing" of God does not fix something, but gives a chance by pointing to God. All creation points to the Creator. John 12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

    Predestination is misunderstood...

What are we predestined to? Unto the adoption. This is not salvation. Paul is talking to those already saved. Ephesians 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, The bible defines the adoption as the...

    Predestination is misunderstood...

What does this verse have to do with our discussion? Peter is preaching repentance to the nation of Israel, not salvation of an individual soul. 37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we...

Can the nonelect ever be born-again? (2 Kings 22:27) With the elect thou wilt be elect: and with the perverse thou wilt be perverted.

First of all, the word "elect" is not found in the passage. Second, I did not state we created ourselves. Weird thought...

Not sure? Because your stance is not biblical. I have provided scripture stating exactly when it takes place.

Can the nonelect ever be born-again? (2 Kings 22:27) With the elect thou wilt be elect: and with the perverse thou wilt be perverted.

You need to previous verse to get the context of what was chosen us in Christ. The spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ are in accordance to what God has chosen to give to those in Christ. This choosing was before the foundation of the world. The choosing was the spiritual...

    Predestination is misunderstood...

None of these verses is speaking about salvation. Actually, Paul is addressing those who are already saved. The adoption is not salvation. The adoption is clearly defined as a future event. Scripture defines the adoption as the redemption of our body (Rom. 8:23). There's no predestination...

    Predestination is misunderstood...

You are adding to the word of God to fit a narrative. That's not good bible study.

I learn everything I know about God from the his word. Can you post scripture please? Thanks!
