This is the correct view. The signs of the Apostles, were used to confirm their word as the word of God. We are going to be judged by that same word.Jn12:48

The pharisees learned of truth of their judgment but rejected it jn8:24-32. The Spirit does not reveal truth to the proud.

You would not know about Jesus or saving faith, or sin, without scriptures received by The Holy Spirit.
