    Rapture

Hi Stach. What are your thoughts on this verse... 1 Thessalonians 4:17 "Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." Is it the Rapture, or something else?

    "The last Adam." — 1 Corinthians 15:45

Something should be clarified here... Jesus is the last Adam, not the second Adam. We are all Adam... Genesis 5:2 "Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created."

    Are our souls eternal?

Scripture teaches that Life is in the Blood. This is because Blood contains DNA, the Word Made Flesh. The Word of God is Life. When Abel died, his Blood cried from the ground... Genesis 4:10 "And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground."...

    Are our souls eternal?

FYI... A Lifeform's Genome is its Soul. In other words, anything that has DNA has a Soul. Spirit is the Energy (Electromagnetism) that quickens us (e.g., makes our hearts beat, etc.). The Body is formed when the above two combine.

    Are our souls eternal?

Yes. The Bible sheds much Light on the subject of Soul. No. We existed before conception. Our Spirit is infinite; however, our Souls are subject to destruction. The Spirit goes back to God who gave it. Spirit can never be destroyed.

    "What Will Hell...

Let us see if we can refine that definition a bit more... Proverbs 23:27 "For a whore is a deep ditch; and a strange woman is a narrow pit." Are you getting the idea? No? OK, let us try another... Isaiah 51:1 "Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look unto...

    "What Will Hell...

@Runningman How do you interpret the 'Pit' in the Old Testament? Example: Isaiah 14:15 "Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit."

    "What Will Hell...

So being in distress and calling for help (while being in the Belly of Hell) meant he was having a good time. Got it.

    "What Will Hell...

Jonah 2:2 (New American Bible) "Out of my distress I called to the LORD, and he answered me; From the womb of Sheol I cried for help, and you heard my voice." The Prophet Jonah was in a Womb? And it was Sheol?!? Once again... Psalms 139:15 "My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made...

    "What Will Hell...

This part is correct. God does not hand out unfair punishment.

    "What Will Hell...

It is also a location... Matthew 25:46 "And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal." The New Heaven and New Earth is the location of Life Eternal. In fact, it is still optional if those residing there wish to 'leave their estate'. Everlasting...

    "What Will Hell...

Psalms 139:15 - "My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth." According to God, we were made in Hell. You sure you folks got your facts straight?

    Lazarus

Ouch. What is with the nasty comment and false accusation? That is a disgusting thing to say to someone. Are you capable of having a debate without hurling insults? As I said it is neither. Your question has two false choices in it and is therefore, illogical. Your argument is that "Jesus is...

    Lazarus

It means every death will be judged. If it meant that everyone has to die, and it is only one time, it would contradict many verses in the Bible. Some examples... Second Death Enoch and Elijah Boy who sneezed seven times Valley of dry bones The dead man who touched Elijah's bones etc.

That is called a contradiction in the Bible. I do not believe there are any.

These verses are 'interest'-ing... Exodus 22:25 "If thou lend money to any of my people that is poor by thee, thou shalt not be to him as an usurer, neither shalt thou lay upon him usury." Had to stop there. I do not consider that a resurrection. That would mean Lazarus would have a 'second resurrection' in the future, which would contradict this verse... Revelation 20:5 "But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first...

    Enoch

I have been studying Azazel lately which led me to portions of the Book of Enoch... "According to the Book of Enoch, Azazel (here spelled ‘ăzā’zyēl) was one of the chief Grigori, a group of fallen angels who married women. Many believe that this same story (without any mention of Azazel) is...
