I tend to see credit cards as both bad and good. A necessary evil, if you will. There isn't anything inherently wrong with credit cards, but Miri makes a good point about it feeling like we are just creating debt to boost this imaginary number. Personally, I think that the credit score is just...
Pumpkin is the spice she needs, twice as nice and just as sweet.
Emily Fosters kindness for us all, she's bright and sunny, just like fall.
Vincent's good, God knows it to be true, and if you're nice, he'll return it too.
Hmm. Perhaps? Go to war for God? Become a prayer warrior? Why the violence backed by a maniac in my dream then? I know you won't be able to answer all these questions, but darn it if you didn't give such a good answer yourself.
I am surrounded and thankful, I hope you are in the same loving...
Wow, I had no idea the forums were separate to the point of being invisible to the other gender. That would make a lot of sense as to why there isn't a men's forum. Thanks for clearing that up.
I'm thinking that I need to start less from a modern point of view, and more of what is Biblical. On notes of the third chapter, Paul talks about all his fleshly accomplishments. He says that he has the most right to boast about his ties to God, but then goes on to say that none of that matters...
I'm only going to reply to a few of your musings, as I believe they will be enough to start a conversation with you. Let's read Genesis to answer some of your first questions.
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the...
I think there should be an equal representation of both genders for the forums. Having one only for women is one-sided and one I don't agree with. If women need/want their own forum, then I believe that men should get the same opportunity.
I support this suggestion. I agree that while being patient is good, there should be a way to hide posts that you don't wish to see, without blocking a person. The best I can suggest instead of changing the site, is to add an add-blocker to your web-browser and hiding images that way. Depending...
I have dreams about war heroes who mutilate civilians and fellow military members. I don't know that this dream in particular is a struggle for myself, as I have never been to war. My father has, but he is not dangerous like my nightmares assume. I will try and remember that I'm not bound to them.
As I had no previous knowledge of Philippi being a place, I was ignorant of it meaning anything more than a chapter title. I don't doubt the historical accuracy of the Bible, however. To me, wrong motives can perpetuate false teachings, but that's something that is more of an opinion of mine...
I'll probably add more poems to just this thread, instead of making a new one every time. I think some of you will realize the rhythm of this one.
Pain, pain go away.
Don't come again,
in Jesus' name.
I need help remembering to pray for others, knowing that it will help them immensely. I also have had some nightmares that have made it rather difficult to want to sleep at all. I would like prayer for those two things, feel free to post your own needs of prayers in my thread as well.
Firstly, Philippi is a place? I thought for sure it was just a made up word. Or that it meant something in roman. Secondly, Paul didn't seem to mind if the gospel was preached for the wrong reasons, so long as it was preached. [verses 15-18] I kind of don't agree with that, seeing as they might...
I don't mind studying Philippians, as I don't have a particular book that I had in mind to read just yet. Are we starting from the beginning, or do you have a set chapter or verse in mind?
This is one of the more interesting and exhilarating poems about Revelation that I have read. It's not overly-dramatic, and it stings the heart filled with guilt about their sins. Excellent poem!
