    60's / 70's Favorites

My wife and I saw them in concert at Wembly Arena London during the 1980s I was always a great fan of their music. In an interview they were asked the meaning of some of their songs. They said there wasn't any!!

    ~Chuckle for the Day~

Les Dawson was famous for his Mother in law Jokes. I understand that his Wife found them as funny as his audiences. Les died in 1993. Here is another one ......... My wife asked me if her Mother could come down for Easter. I said yes. After all she had been on the roof since Christmas.

    60's / 70's Favorites

This song reminds me of my first serious Girlfriend. She was a student teacher and we used to play records and drink Cider in her College room tying to work out the ''deeper meaning'' to the lyrics. I wasn't saved then but I was searching for the truth .

Itchycoo Park was the local slang name of Valentine Park in Ilford East London. It was called that because it was full of stinging nettles which stung kids and courting couples. Rod Stewart was one of the original band members.

    The Brexit Thread

At least the Raving Loonies are funny. During this so called Peoples vote march its a pity a poll wasn't conducted to find out how many on it were actually leavers who had changed their minds since 2016. My guess it was very few and it mainly consisted of remainders still winging about that...

WHEN IS THE RAPTURE IN RELATIONSHIP TO THE GT?

Yes go to Blogs at the foot of the Forums list and click on page 2. The thread is called roots of Revelation part 1. I have purposely left no personal interpretation because I wanted people to rely completely on the verses listed. I do intend to make one concession in future by copying out a...

WHEN IS THE RAPTURE IN RELATIONSHIP TO THE GT?

Only God Knows how much time you have. Your required stock of coffee may need a Brazilian import licence. People quote Bible Verses but actually use their own or others interpretations of the plain scripture to justify their positions. I suggest you read a book that gives an objective view of...

WHEN IS THE RAPTURE IN RELATIONSHIP TO THE GT?

It could stand for Gin and Tonic but actually it is short for Great Tribulation. Although if your not tee total you may need several G and T's trying to unravel the assorted views people have about it.

    60's / 70's Favorites

These songs remind me of those far off beautiful naive days of my Teens and Twenties. There are many that I could cite as examples but I think San Francisco by Scott McKenzie sums them all up. I wonder what became of him

WHEN IS THE RAPTURE IN RELATIONSHIP TO THE GT?

The second coming is represented by the details of a Jewish wedding but one major difference between peoples rapture beliefs and that of the actual wedding details is that the Groom only arrives at the Brides home once. He doesn't take his Bride have a wedding then bring the whole wedding party...

    The Brexit Thread

One issue I am in favour of is Independence for Scotland I would help the SNP MPs pack. Whatever the consequences the thought of not seing Ian Blackfords smirking face on screen would be well worth it.

Creation and the Gap theory (pre adamic race)

The beginning refers to the physical universe and time. Before that there was a timeless eternal family we call God. Creation in all its forms is a physical manifestation of reality which is spiritual and what the Bible calls the Kingdom of heaven. The whole plan of God revealed in the Bible...

Did Jesus ever tell us that we no longer need to keep the law of Moses?

In 70AD The Romans destroyed both the Temple and Jerusalem. Because of that nobody has kept the law of Moses for over 2000 years. I find that to be a very strong hint that we are no longer supposed to keep it.

    The Brexit Thread

I no longer believe that we will come out of the EU voluntarily. This deal was rejected by Corbyn before it was even made!! As soon as it was announced he confirmed his rejection saying it was worse than Teresa Mays' This is before Parliament had even had a chance to look at it properly...

Are ghosts / spirits just demons?

Most of the Ghost hunt shows I've seen look ridiculous and unconvincing. People shout and scream about every creak and shadow they see and hear. Use contraptions to ''communicate'' and receive banal ''messages'' from beyond that have no useful information content. The biggest giveaway for me...

Sunday worship / Christmas / Easter and all the rest....

What we should be really concerned about is not whether to acknowledge traditional Church holidays or not but to be deeply concerned about the millions of people who are not in the least bit interested in Christianity at all and are according to scripture heading for a godless eternity.
