I understand, different scenario but same motive. (I didn't actually fully explain my story just very brief rundown hehe)

    Lordship salvation vs. "easy believism"

I did this to my best friend many years ago when he was going through a tough time. He lashed out at me and I got angry wondering why he did. Sometimes it's like rubbing salt on a wound, in hindsight now I shouldn't have said anything and just prayed for him! I see my motive now in that instance.

    Lordship salvation vs. "easy believism"

It's the Christian version of the rude finger. If you want to pray for someone, why tell them like that? Just go and do it, see if your prayer is in line with God's thoughts and be open and prepared for rebuke from Holy Spirit.

    Is Emmet Fox a heretic?????

No idea who this person is and I have no interest in researching them. If your spirit is unsettled, then listen to it. I've had the same thing once when a congregation I attended held meetings in my house teaching about Holy Spirit from one of those Bethel guys, I couldn't stand it but I put...

Is there a common theme ?

Within the context of what was happening at the time, there is no difference. He addresses their human thinking by drawing their thinking to God's will and He made it quite clear :giggle:

    First Grade Gender Pronouns

All the more reason for parents to be more involved in their children's education and not 100% leave it to someone else whatever school they may attend. We're blessed enough to be able to home school, as tough as it is

Is there a common theme ?

I think it's exactly what He said, the only work the Father wants from us is to believe on the One He sent.

Is there a common theme ?

Do people not like this scripture or something? Hasn't had very good reception so far.

Is there a common theme ?

OK sure. I'll post the old school version which says the same thing.. Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. John 6:28‭-‬29

Is there a common theme ?

They replied, “We want to perform God’s works, too. What should we do?” Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.” John 6:28‭-‬29

    Where is Jesus physically now?

Took my slow mind about 8 years to realise that Jesus ascended to Heaven in a physical body

    Spiritual Warfare Prayer

I used to pray like this, throwing words out in the air thinking they had effect. Things like smashing satans, covering myself in his blood. All those exact same words pretty much. You say it's thoroughly designed to combat plans of the enemy.. Which plans exactly? There's no exposure of a...

    Slavery in the Bible

Reading about slavery in the bible is a real difficult thing for us, especially those particular passages and it is due to the disconnection between our modern culture and theirs. You can't remove context and expect to understand. We really need to dig deeper into understanding their culture...

Virginians to Face Mandatory COVID Vaccination. Will They Resist? Who's Next?

I can understand the concern about mandatory vaccinations, I don't agree with mandatory vaccinations but at the same time. Do the people who think there is some underlying evil conspiracy behind it, have they not taken vaccinations for other diseases in the past? And what makes this one...

Giving over our sense making ?

It's not only a matter of doctrinal errors, it's also a matter of how we meet. I'm very much passed guided singing to God for 45mins, sit down, listen to a sermon, alter call, feigning communion and having small talk before ushering to our homes for the week. Yes, we have weekly small groups...

    Infractions

What you have described is the difference between good or God. In my experience, the church is so concerned in doing what is seemingly 'obvious' as good that we run ahead doing what we think is God's work. Somewhat like Mary and Martha.

I’m a Christian ✝️ who has no morality issues with having my walls covered with posters of beautiful semi naked women-am i wrong?

Yeah so you've probably heard it's wrong one hundred times over just like homosexuals have heard it a thousand times over. Another time is not going to do anything. Holy Spirit just needs to show you, if you're a Christian as you say you are, you'll find out.
