Did God plan for man to fall to prove something to Satan and his angels?

I'll keep my concept of God, but you can share it/Him. :D

Did God plan for man to fall to prove something to Satan and his angels?

Agape = omni. Learn what synonymous means. IOW, omnilove means God has agape love for everyone/all humanity.

    Understanding God’s election

I believe God is not tricky, so everyone who seeks understanding of how to be saved with an open mind will find agreement regarding the Christian creed and almost every secondary doctrine except election, baptism and tongues if discussions on CC are any indicator.

Husbands can lift a bigger rock than wives can

Both-and is good both in relationships and in hermeneutics! :^)

    Disciples..

Jesus finished recruiting 11 disciples in Matt. 4:22, and then toured throughout Galilee and Syria long enough to convert large crowds from all around the region of the Jordan on both sides of the river per Matt. 4:23-25, which would take several months at least, before preaching the Sermon on...

    The Teachings of Jesus (TOJ)

GW per the TOJ is that He wants all sinners to be saints and go to heaven at the eschaton, but sadly His grace is not irresistible: TOJ #8: Repent of Sin/Believe GRFS. [Matt. 4:17//MK 1:15 & LK 4:43] Jesus was sent for the purpose of proclaiming the Gospel (good news) about how to be saved...

    Saved by faith alone?

Agreement would be achieved if you both would add a new preposition to your statements: before. As in "We are saved by grace through faith in the creed/kerygma before working with God/cooperating with GW regarding how we should then live (didachaic doctrines).

Husbands can lift a bigger rock than wives can

As long as husbands can lift their wives over the threshold, things are good!

    Understanding God’s election

God gave me a new heart from childhood just like Timothy (2Tim. 3:15-17) before I was even able to understand GRFS (Matt. 19:14). PTL!!

Did God plan for man to fall to prove something to Satan and his angels?

God planned for fallen man to be able to live in heaven, which proved His omnilove (Matt. 5:44&48, 22:37, Rom. 5:5-8, 1Tim. 2:3-4, Ezek. 33:11) and omniscience/wisdom (Jer. 10:12, 1Cor. 1:30, Col. 2:3).

    Understanding God’s election

Yes, which is what may be called "seeking grace" (Matt. 7:7, 1Tim. 2:3-4). It nullifies/neutralizes the natural man's sinful will sufficiently to provide the opportunity to choose to seek and be saved/become elect--or not (Deut. 30:19).

    Understanding God’s election

No, God commands us to love and pray for our enemies, so that we will be like God, who loves His enemies. (Rom. 5:5-8) I agree that truth seems to be quite difficult for some folks to comprehend.

    Hermeneutics: Interpreting Scripture

It is indeed possible that in some cases we will have to wait until heaven to learn the harmonization of Scripture, but in this case let's wait for studier to show up before we give up. :^)

    Hermeneutics: Interpreting Scripture

I agree with your understanding of Rom. 8:38-39 as long as living for God means persevering in saving faith, because those who accept Jesus as Lord will do their best to obey his command to love everyone. I understand that you interpret Heb. 10:26-36 to indicate that it is possible for a...

    Hermeneutics: Interpreting Scripture

Okay, but what does the second passage ("1John 2:24-25, “See that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. And this is what he promised us—even eternal life.”) mean? Do the meanings of both passages (including those...

    Hermeneutics: Interpreting Scripture

I see how Rev. 3:20 can be connected with John 10:27-29, "My sheep listen to my voice..." How can the rest of that passage, ("I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my Father's hand. My Father, who has given them...

    Hermeneutics: Interpreting Scripture

It is great to have you join us Lrs, and I agree with your interpretation of John 10:27. A goal of our study is seeking to understand how Scriptures frequently cited by TULIPists against belief in MFW can be harmonized. The first effort/case/couplet of texts and a suggestion regarding how...

    Apologetics: witnessing to atheists

With our names being about Scripture, I wonder if you would be interested in participating in a systematic study of Ephesians on the Systematic Bible Study thread or of the doctrine of election on the Hermeneutics thread (beginning at post #380). If so, please feel to chime in.
