    What is the First Commandment?

I copied and pasted in Google what you copied and pasted from there. Are you the author of the site? From a quick glance it seems buttoned up but I have not delved too far into it.

    Converts or disciples?

Thank you, @Gideon300 for this post! When we read that Jesus said "Go forth and make disciples of all nations" the church should stop and ask "Well, how did they know how to make disciples?" The answer is of course, The disciples would make disciples of others as Jesus made disciples of them...

Did God plan for man to fall to prove something to Satan and his angels?

There was no appeal offered the demons. God's full plan includes the demons being judged by those in Christ. "Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Do you not know that we shall judge...

Oh no! How long have you been suffering with this?

In what way do you believe God specifically shows his love for unrepentant sinners who are in hell?

Not good enough. Our Father in heaven actually wants us to know His mind.

In what way do you believe God specifically shows his love for unrepentant sinners who are in hell?

I wrote this some time ago. Many people get mixed up with words like "forever" and "always" and with phrases like "forever and ever". Wisdom is needed to understand if those words and phrases mean "for all time" (where time comes to an end) or "from age to age" (where ages come to an end) or...

    Easter or Resurrection

The truth of resurrection is sprinkled throughout my conversations with my children and with those whom the Lord has given me. We certainly don't need a day to keep those things in focus nor do we think the Lord Jesus Christ somehow rewards us for the use of certain Greek, Hebrew, or English...

Did God plan for man to fall to prove something to Satan and his angels?

To the question: was it God's plan for man to fall, the answer is "no". The reason the answer is no requires wisdom and understanding. Perhaps I will get to it later.

Did God plan for man to fall to prove something to Satan and his angels?

Yeah. Apathy, not hate, is the opposite of love. Hate gives validity to the target via an investiture of emotional resources. With apathy, a person cannot be bothered to care. Disobedience and unbelief, in the Greek, are rooted in apathy.

In what way do you believe God specifically shows his love for unrepentant sinners who are in hell?

There are 3 heavens. Lucifer and the rebellious angels were cast down from the 3rd Heaven, the heaven of God. Lucifer and his angels have been remanded to the 2nd heaven: unseen realm. "And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the...

    Who is Elihu?

In all seriousness, aren't they several hundred, maybe a thousand years apart? Elijah and Job? Why would someone think Elihu is Elijah? Their names don't even rhyme. :geek:

Safe to say Elihu has never had so much attention.

7 heads of the beast of Revelation

Correct. The revelation was given to Daniel: “After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. It was different from all the beasts...

    What is the First Commandment?

You don't understand how covenants work. When the standards are different, you default to the highest standard. That way, you fulfill THAT standard and every lesser one. So, when Christ gave us the standard "Love one another as I have loved you" He made the previous standard (Love as much as...

7 heads of the beast of Revelation

"This calls for a mind with wisdom." "[There was a 4th beast] It was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns." The heads are 7 systems of influence: business or commerce, domestic affairs or family, education, government or law, communication, arts, and...

    Peace and Justice

Very good point. We, in Christ, can also destroy the works of chaos.

    Peace and Justice

"Peace" ironically, is an artful term of warfare. The Hebrew word Shalom is made up of 4 letters: Shin, Lamed, Vav, and Mem In aggregate, they mean "destroy the authority that establishes chaos". So, the Prince of Peace, is the One with the authority to destroy chaos.

Making a case for women in leadership

Edify, I often appreciate your posts and insight. You have the temperament of an elder. I'm not sure what you mean by "authority leadership". Authority is simply the right to function in some measure of power. Like a police officer: the power is his gun while his authority is his badge. And...
