    RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF GOD 2 Timothy 2:15

    This may be oversimplifying it but just as when we talk about the old Jewish law of the Old Testament, we are talking about ALL of God’s laws for the Jews. That term covers all of their laws, although sometimes a passage may be only talking about one aspect of their law like the 10 commandments...

    RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF GOD 2 Timothy 2:15

    Let me introduce another proof and argument from the Word of God about the two covenants—the Old Testament law of Moses and the New Testament law of Christ. This time from Romans 7. I admit that Romans is not an easy book to understand and I don’t fully understand EVERY thing in the book; but...

    RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF GOD 2 Timothy 2:15

    Again the Bible proves you wrong. Hebrews 7:12. “ For the priesthood being CHANGED, of necessity THERE IS ALSO A CHANGE OF THE LAW.” If the Bible is not in harmony with what I am teaching, who do you think needs to change?

    RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF GOD 2 Timothy 2:15

    I find Your reasoning fallacious. For example, just because God and His character are eternal, does not mean that His laws are eternal. That is not even logical. And you have nothing to prove or even suggest such a thing in the scriptures. In Genisus 17, God says the “covenant” is...

    RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF GOD 2 Timothy 2:15

    If this was a courtroom, and I were a lawyer, I would have to “OBJECT” on the grounds of “SPECULATION.” Lol I don’t think you know “what Paul wants people to THINK.. “. I believe you are stating what YOU want people to think. By calling them “innumerable moral dictates” I’m guessing you mean...

    Israel.

    Well, in that case, God’s “regenerating mercy” is for EVERYONE—not just Jews. We must all be getting it because people are believing and becoming Christians every week. And if that is true, then the Jews have it NOW! There’s no waiting for some future time. How does that fit with Romans...

    Israel.

    That God still has “plans” for Israel is a MAN MADE doctrine that comes from a mis-understanding and a mis-interpretation of scripture. There are many things in the books of Daniel and Revelation that I do not understand -and cannot explain, but there are a few things I know. 1) if God...

    Israel.

    So The Body of Christ, Israel according to the Spirit, the Election of Grace is not a replacement, it always has been, its now clarified who they are. Nope. Romans 11 makes it clear God will restore the Jewish people. YOU are grafted in. Romans 11 says the Jews will be grafted in ONLY “IF”...

    Am I correct with my understanding of this? Faith in Jesus alone = salvation

    The Holy Spirit says, “You see then that A MAN ( not faith) IS JUSTIFIED ( saved) BY WORKS…” verse 24. I can’t tell you more/ or different than what God says. A MAN IS JUSTIFIED BY WORKS. Word for word what God says. You simply REFUSE to BELIEVE it. QUOTE: “MAN IS SAVED THROUGH FAITH AND...

    WORKS

    Correction: it’s Acts 3: 19 not Acts 4;19. Sorry for the confusion.

    WORKS

    1) good works in Eph 2 was used to show that there are DIFFERENT kinds of works. Nothing was said about them saving you. Please represent me ACCURATELY. 2) it is the Holy Spirit that calls faith a WORK and Work of God—not me. And thank you for the compliment ( cunning) but it is God’s word...

    Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

    Actually there is a passage in Leviticus 2:13 that says they were to serve their grain offerings ( unleavened bread, verse 4) with salt. I’ve always thought salt was allowed in unleavened bread, but have not studied this thoroughly so I could be wrong. Anyone know for sure?

    Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

    It’s not that they could never drink any wine, it’s just that they had laws ( ordinances) about when they were not allowed to drink wine. I did not do a thorough search but in at least two places they were forbidden to drink wine. 1) in Leviticus 10:9, The Priests and his sons were not...

    Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

    Colossians 2:12 is not to be “isolated”from its context. After verse 14, he continues the thought in verse 16 and he says”SO”, meaning therefore, or as a result of, or because of what he’s just said about taking away the. Handwringing of ordinances, “Let no one judge you in food or drink (...

    WORKS

    Let’s talk about “works” as they are talked about in the Bible. Ephesians 2:8-9 “ For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Because of this verse, works have become a bad word in religious...
