    Future sins

The key is distinguishing eternal salvation in the first place.. Led by the Holy Spirit.. 1 Know/admit you are a sinner headed for hell. 2 Believe Jesus is God, that He died and rose again, that by believing in Him you have eternal life. 3 Ask Him to save you. And separate that from...

Shall we sin that grace may abound?

Once saved, always saved isn't the most popular position on salvation. Pentecostal christianity and charismatics, who mainly teach you can lose your salvation, are the most numerous. But regarding the verses you put there, they must be compared with the likes of John 5:24, 6:40, 8:40, 10:28...

Shall we sin that grace may abound?

Yeah, it's a hire purchase agreement. Salvation conditional on performance. That's not real love. Real love has unconditional grace underpinning discipline

John 10:27-29 KJV My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: [28] And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. [29] My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my...

Shall we sin that grace may abound?

The point is that eternal salvation happens before water baptism. The baptism is for the fact you already got saved. Compare this acts verse with most of the book of John and parts of Romans. Justified by faith without water baptism.

Shall we sin that grace may abound?

Yeah, baptism 'for' the remission of sins, is like having a pill 'for' a cold. The cold is already present before the pill. Eternal salvation is already present before the water baptism.

Shall we sin that grace may abound?

The writer of Hebrews said they can expect fiery judgment from God, but this doesn't necessarily mean being sent to hell when they die. There are many cases of God disciplining His sons and daughters with wrath, but not taking their eternal life.

Shall we sin that grace may abound?

No, i think the Hebrews weren't fully letting go of old ways. Like some Messianic Jews who were orthodox and try to keep the OT laws still.

Shall we sin that grace may abound?

You are human, so you sin. That is all. Obviously after being born again you can sin less, obey God as much as you can. Absolutely no one on earth is perfect in the sense of does everything without sin. That's just plain fact.

Shall we sin that grace may abound?

Well Hebrews 10 is mainly about animal sacrifices, so 'no more sacrifice for sins' is no more animal sacrifice, since that is what the Hebrews were returning to. They were going back to sacrifice of sheep, bulls and goats, even though they were under the New Covenant.

Shall we sin that grace may abound?

From R.C.Sproul 'In order for us to be persuaded that we have achieved perfection in any kind, we have to have an exaggerated view of our own performance. So, we bring God’s law down and bring our own performance up so that the two can meet. Either one of those is an extreme danger for...

Shall we sin that grace may abound?

Yeah, i think.. how does someone, if a lost person, lost in sin, turn from sin? It can for some, just mean..know you are a sinner and believe on Jesus Christ...just using that 'turn from sin' phrase.. but for others it is actually a work of changing behaviors before salvation. Hence the need...
