Is cessation an observation or theology?

Reread the post. I did not call you a liar, I simply stated the truth. Your theology is based on unproven claims. That's all. If these claims are proven true then your theology is based on proven claims of tangible supernatural manifestations.

Was Judas Iscariot saved, or was he not?

This passage is a great example of modern day claims of tangible supernatural manifestations. These "false disciples" claimed to do these great things. But did they? Did they count their glossolalia as prophesy, was their "in the name of Jesus" sessions nothing more than mindless chants, was...

Is cessation an observation or theology?

You are certainly struggling with the term "physical supernatural manifestations". This is quite obvious. I can think of no other reason for your conclusions other than your ignorance to this term. 1st Corinthians 13:8 has nothing to do with what Trust and Obey is writing about. Again, you...

False teaching by separating Scripture from Scripture

Nothing is being avoided since none of your scriptures mention remission of sins without water baptism. Is this term in the Bible? Since you are making the claim that they were given the remission of sins before water baptism is it not on you to "prove"? Here is the verse: Acts 2:38 "Peter...

False teaching by separating Scripture from Scripture

Instead of simply stating such as "this is of course false", why not show a clear cut example of the remission of sins before water baptism. If it is so clearly false, it should not be difficult to point to.

False teaching by separating Scripture from Scripture

That sure is a lot of work to try to convince yourself that water baptism is not the moment of the remission of sins. Instead of all these verses that do not mention salvation by faith alone, would it not be quicker and more convincing to share a verse that actually states faith alone? Your...

Is cessation an observation or theology?

What does this have to do with the issue at hand??? Do you even care about addressing the OP? What does "dogmas" or "geography and luck" have to do with this issue? Are you trolling? If not please stick with the OP, if you are I will ignore you. Let me know.

Is cessation an observation or theology?

So the Pentecostals and their sort are raising the dead, they are giving sight to the blind, their glossolalia is real languages and they are certainly healing the lame. And you call me a liar, hateful, angry and a buffoon. Well then. Now I understand why the roofs of the Pentecostal...

Is cessation an observation or theology?

This is what I wrote: "This miraculous event went on for decades until God caused it to cease without warning." It is the "without warning" that is paramount to the issue of miracles ceasing. People here are insisting that there must be a specific verse stating when tongues were to cease...

Is cessation an observation or theology?

This comment is indicative of the warped thinking of many here, including you. The belief that the claims of physical supernatural manifestations made by the modern day Pentecostal movement can or may be true is mind numbing. This is not about theology, this is about a group of people claiming...

Is cessation an observation or theology?

You are speaking of the metaphysical, the OP is about the physical supernatural manifestations of the Holy Spirit. IOW, tangible events. Claiming a "spiritual experience" is very different from claiming to raise the dead or curing blindness.

Is cessation an observation or theology?

Agreed. The point is that the manna (regardless of what we may think of its symbolic meaning) simply ceased. This miraculous event went on for decades until God caused it to cease without warning.

Was Judas Iscariot saved, or was he not?

You seem to be dancing on this simple question. So what was Judas not "secured or kept" from? I am not asking why he was not saved I am asking what was Judas saved from? IOW, what were the other 11 apostles kept for that Judas was not able to be part of?

Was Judas Iscariot saved, or was he not?

Then what was Judas lost from?

Was Judas Iscariot saved, or was he not?

If Jesus lost Judas then Judas was at one time not lost. This goes against election. If Judas was at one time among the elect but was later lost then how does that square with OSAS. IOW, the elect cannot be lost.

Was Judas Iscariot saved, or was he not?

Is this what you meant to say? Judas is the perfect example of one who can be saved by choosing to not follow temptation. No matter what his actions, he could have repented.

Was Judas Iscariot saved, or was he not?

Which one of these sins condemned Judas? Or was it a lack of not being among the elect? Regardless of the title, are we not all sons and daughters of perdition? Is this doom not upon all who are not picked to be among the elect? According to election, works good or bad have no bearing on our...

Was Judas Iscariot saved, or was he not?

Your sentence is misleading. If you believe in election than regardless of: how many years he spend with Jesus what he witnessed what miracles he participated in who he sold out Jesus to and for how much is moot. Our actions or inactions do not determine our fate, election does.
