    Baptized more than once ?

The bible does interpret itself.. know the context and its clear. But AI cannot replace Holy Spirit empowered believers expounding on the Word of God. An atheist can read the Bible as is and interpret, but carries the a priori assumption supernatural cannot happen.

Again ...I wouldn't rely on AI. How does it get to its conclusions?

    Baptized more than once ?

Well.. in acts 19...after water baptism..they receive the Holy Spirit. So.. that's not salvation..it's a different role of the Holy Spirit. That's a whole group receiving the Holy Spirit

    Baptized more than once ?

I was re-baptised because the first baptism I hardly knew what it was about and it was in a wayward church. Anabaptists re-baptise believers who have a questionable baptism. And independent Baptists. Acts 19 has an account of re-baptism. But understand..the conversion was before any...

    Concerning the gift of tongues

Right...so edifying the church in the context of Corinth..was that local New Testament church. The body described in 1 co 12.. is the local body. It isn't describing all redeemed. But you are right..interpreted tongues edified the church. Not inferior to prophecy then.

    Concerning the gift of tongues

True enough.. take it from the Bible itself. These histories around the city of Corinth are real though. Reading scripture context..is putting it in its historical setting. It's adds understanding to why things are done and said certain ways in scripture..because you can know more about...

    Concerning the gift of tongues

What I'm saying is counterfeit tongues was going on..and that it was most likely trance like state with unintelligible sounds.... from pagan religion of the time. Not that Paul was doing this.. but he was comparing the false with the true tongues. So not the Paul was influenced, but the...

    Concerning the gift of tongues

Speaking without interpretation, selfishly is also associated with 1 co 14.. having tongues that have a clear sound, understandable, that edifies others. The teaching of this kind of tongues is based on the fact the pagan kind were infecting them.

    The Error of KJV-Onlyism

My issue with kjvo is discounting EVERY other translation after it. I only use the KJV, my church is KJVO..but I would be prepared to use another accurate translation. I know the njkv isn't really the kjv with more up to date English..because it is from using the Westcort and Hort sources...

    Concerning the gift of tongues

Well, many bible scholars agree the Corinthians had this issue. It's not something unclear. Just type in Corinthians and paganism and see the amount of results on the internet. Not all are solid..but there is plenty about this. A city affected by paganism would NOT have counterfeit, pagan...

    Concerning the gift of tongues

Key points... The tongues are identified to be practiced in a New Testament church setting. It's meant for the local NT assembly of believers They are inferior to prophecy They should be interpreted for the edification of others in the church. They should be understandable to the...

This may be helpful: 1 Corinthians 14 Meaning and Commentary - Scripture Savvy What I actually believe about the gift of tongues is different to you.. but I think it's fruitful to examine what it really is in scripture.

1 Corinthians 14:6-11 KJV - Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine? 7 And even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, except they...

    Concerning the gift of tongues

Check the context of that verse. Is speaking mysteries here a practice God wants. .or is it out of order/part of the problems the Corinthians were having with their pagan beliefs combining with Christianity?

    Concerning the gift of tongues

It's not all about the feeling... it's measuring it up against scripture. That's how you know. Experience is subjective. When I was a charismatic methodist youth, I was basically riding emotions when doing tongue speaking. There was no interpreter. It wasn't an earthly language..I was...

John 3 and Water Baptism in the Ministry of Jesus Christ

John 3 mention of water is the main verses for water baptism as part of Salvation..but you can't take this on its own to form that belief in water baptism for salvation. John 3:16, 3:36 and 6:40 are more primary verses about salvation that you compare with Nicodemus talking with Jesus about...

    Presuming on the Blood

You gotta ask what kind of judgment God is giving and who is being addressed. Is it actually sending a believer to hell or is it discipline and correction? Are believers actually the ones incurring the judgment? Is it an entire nation/group being judged eg. A whole local church, group of...
