What can you do if you’re a non-elect?

Wouldn’t it be great if we all dropped the -isms and -ists, and just studied what the Bible has to say?

The Law Is Out Of Date And Will "SOON DISAPPEAR"?

Hi @Gideon300 …. The 613 “commandments” to which you refer were actually not all commandments; aside from the Ten Commandments, God’s people were expected to keep many ordinances—like observing certain feast days, ceremonial washings, health related rules, etc. Among the 613 were also blood...

    The 'ELECT' vs 'Free-Choice'

What’s being divided? Don’t confuse “divisive” with annoying to you. If someone is annoying to you, all you have to do is stop responding. Easy-Peasy….

I have just a couple of questions for you. What did Selah do wrong? Everything she says is backed up with scripture. How am I being dishonest? What lies have we told?

    The 'ELECT' vs 'Free-Choice'

You quoted me in your post #462, so I assumed you were directing the article you posted (unrelated to the issue I had with you) at me. If Selah did anything wrong, it was in sharing an interpretation of scripture that others might not agree with. As far as I know, that’s not a problem that...

    The 'ELECT' vs 'Free-Choice'

Try saying that when the Lord prods you with something very sharp. Paul had a choice only AFTER his spiritual awakening, but that “goad” must have been sharp enough that he persevered, even though he had plenty of reasons to give up. And I didn’t say no one has a choice.

    The 'ELECT' vs 'Free-Choice'

…and so are posts between two people about a third person. This thread began in that way. Why don’t you just tell us all what you believe, back it up with scripture, and end the misery for us all? I’m sure in your opinion, it will be right.

Very good! More people would understand that on the road to Damascus, Saul had no choice—if they had ever plowed a field! ;)

    The 'ELECT' vs 'Free-Choice'

@2ndTimeIsTheCharm …. So now you are judging me and calling me out as one of the wolves in sheep’s clothing, an antichrist? I’m trying to mix into Christian Chat the leaven of the Pharisees? Do you even know what they taught? I should be publicly called out because I’m committing a sin of...

    The 'ELECT' vs 'Free-Choice'

yes…. I am dealing directly with you and not trying to influence a third party. If I could, I would do this privately. Just to make my advice plainer—if you have a negative opinion of someone, either keep it to yourself, or deal with it directly with that person.

    The 'ELECT' vs 'Free-Choice'

@2ndTimeIsTheCharm …. There you go again. This much is true, but there is no need for you to do it for someone else or advise others how they should regard other members. Each of us here has the ability to filter out false doctrine on our own with the help of the Holy Spirit. You are not our...

    The 'ELECT' vs 'Free-Choice'

Better to have patience and actually try to understand. Wisdom is sometimes hidden from eyes that move too quickly and dismiss too much. (And please learn the definition of gossip.)

    The 'ELECT' vs 'Free-Choice'

Let me be clear about what you are saying…. Do you mean that before Paul could be obedient (enabled for his true purpose), he had to profess his faith in a risen Savior? Do you mean that in order to be obedient (enabled), Paul had to have a change of heart? If so, I agree, and he did…...

    The 'ELECT' vs 'Free-Choice'

Hi @Everlasting-Grace :) Thank you for a good question. Saul’s will was to prevent the spreading of the gospel by persecuting those determined to spread it. AFTER being stopped in His tracks by a blinding light and hearing the very voice of Jesus Christ (not an experience Saul chose for...

(Aside). I wonder why it is that even Christian people want to believe the worst of each other—especially considering that we all come to the Lord at our worst.

@2ndTimeIsTheCharm …. (audible sigh). I am so sorry that you believe that by defending or reacting positively to someone’s post, I must actually BE that person. Good grief! So…. Are you Niki? (I don‘t really believe you are. You two have distinctly different writing styles. I just want to...
