A "like" button would be awesome! I often want to express agreement with a post, but it's sometimes hard to do so without derailing the thread. I'm hesitant to give rep points if I don't know the poster and their history, but I don't mind approving of specific posts. And, I'm afraid that a lot of new members leave because they feel ignored. It would be nice to have an easy way to encourage the good posters to keep posting! :)

In a sense, we already do. You may add to or subtract from one's reputation on a post by post basis.

^ I like this. I am not sure about the rep bit. to me it suggests wisdom and sometimes I don't want to like cuz its wise I just want to like!

And i am sorry I didn't now it had been suggested given that I joined like a week ago.

Yeah, Rachel777, hehe! Yes, I'd love a "like" button, or how about this: three buttons. An "I agree", a "I disagree", and "I think this post is hilarious". :)

Um...I agree? I think? I don't understand? Maybe we need more buttons than I thought! Good thing an "LOL" goes pretty far to keep others knowing that you're not upset or laughing AT them... just with them! (hopes Rachel777 "clicks" the "I agree" button this time, hehe!) :)

I think a lol and an amen button is the things we want! I for one actually say out loud "Amen brothe/sister" and id like to be able to express that without having to quote.

I see what you mean in a way. I am pretty new and the first couple boards I posted on I was totally ignored! People seem to branch off into their own little chats/debates.
