Since there is a lot of discussion on theological matters here, I was thinking maybe one of the pieces of information when you make your profile could be which denomination you are, just to give people a better idea of where you are coming from. Maybe it can also be one of the pieces of info on your chat pm along with age, marital status, etc.

A likely cause for further "heated discussions".

There are enough of those here already.

Not necessary.

I agree...I mean it's okay if you WANT to add it on your profile, or on a PM box or whatever that's a personal choice. However, know that if you do, you HAVE to be prepared to be attacked. People don't attack beliefs, they attack your denomination. Why do you think you hear so many preachers, pastors, evangilist, everyday Christians say ''oh so and so is a good person, but they have some false beliefs because they're of such and such denomination''.? It's crazy out there these days, yes you can be proud to be associated with/in/of a certain church denomination, but I'd be VERY cautious in posting it openly.

I personally don't clasify myself as any said denomination, let alone church....I'm simply a follower of God's word and of Jesus Christ the Living Word. Bottom line. I might attend a church of a certain association, but that doen't mean that I, you, he, she, they, them, etc. are of that church/denomination. Just my thoughts....God bless....

PS....I'm not even in a church right now, for personal reasons....issues in the church...that's all that should be said...However, God still works, when I'm faithful in reading His word, praying, seeking Him, and so on.

I don't agree Denominations in my opinion should not be anyways. It will only leads to stereotyping.

Another issue is that a denomination doesn't define a person's beliefs, usually. There is so much variety of opinion and belief even within one demonisation, sorry, denomination.
