Haha! This is my laugh of the day! Funnier than even the Babylon Bee. I think if they had wanted me as a mod, they would have asked me long ago. Further, if they did ask me, I don't think I would accept. I ran a Christian group long ago, before I found CC. It was a 24/7 obsession. Not going to happen again! I have learned my lesson!

But thanks for thinking of me! LOL. I am pretty sure you were just trying to pin me to the wall for bringing this up in the first place! So, keep up the one man comedy hour! It is great!
I agree entirely. I like you, but I know you would make as poor a mod as I would. Objectivity would be out the door with either of us, and that goes for MANY on here.

True but to see Christians say these kinds of things is upsetting, just last night a Christian here who I will not name called someone a douche bag. This is simply unacceptable. I know some Christians don't see cussing as a big deal but I never saw Jesus cuss
I think calling someone, "You brood of vipers!" would qualify in those days, considering what we think of as cussing wasn't even invented yet.

I don't agree. I'm seeing the F word, the S word and other really unkind things being said toward others.

If/when we can't moderate ourselves, which we can't, we need mods to help guide discussions in the right direction.

We already have rules like no bad language, but it's happening. So moderating the rules won't put a damper on disagreement, and hearing the other side, but hopefully will ward off the bad language and the hateful speech, the belittling and unkind words.

Would that be so bad? I see it as helping to train us to respond righteously, sort of helping to disciple those who need it.

How many do you think walk away because of it?
I'm not saying moderators shouldn't ban people for using the "F word" or being inexcusably nasty to people. I'm just saying that if you believe something to be true about theology, you should be able to say it, rather than being banned because the administrators and mods disagree.

I think the intent behind of the reason for profanity should be added into the equation.

If someone curses because they are describing a child being raped...I would not find fault...

Perhaps the mod can censor the words for sensibility and remind the person that though understandable, we have youth and ladies on the site that don't need to see that type of language.

If some curses up a storm at someone...then they need a temporary bann for a day or week to calm down.

Repeat offenders get banned for life.

That's what I typically see happen here.

Hello all
I guess I will throw in my two cents. I do think we should have few more mods here ,to lessen the burden on the current mod and admin folks. I have been a mod on another Christian site before . It is hard work .Trying not to let your personal biases influence your actions is harder than it sounds. Also when you have more mods on board they can discuss problems with each other in mod only forums. That way it's not only one persons opinion that can get a person banned or placed on a coffee break ( temporarily suspension). Speaking of that . A temporary break or cooling down is a good idea in my opinion before someone gets banned. Unless the offense is way out there .

You are one of the few here who would get my vote..... if there were such a thing as an election.

I know a few people here who would make good mods Angela would I know that for sure I rarely ever see her lose her cool and she is always prone to use scripture to not only back up her words but she also is very intellectual and wise, Blue I think would make a good mod as well however she may have to simmer that fire of hers a bit lol Tourist is one I have said would make a great mod many times.

A couple people have told me I would make a good mod because of how I always respond in heated debates and try to still the waters in those fiery war zones but I disagree I think I am far to open and speak my heart to much to be a mod. Being a mod I likely would not have the same freedom of speech and I am still immature in many ways.

People should be suspended once or twice before being banned altogether. Maybe having another mod or two can allow such a process to take place.

Maybe a CC halfway house? Or one night in the CC jail before hauled off to the CC courthouse?

we are there or here when it comes to the 'Moderators-Here', they seem to have handled
several problems really good, with much 'patience' we might add, and corrected at the time what
needed to be done..Thanks ya'll...:):) some times, it just takes Godly guts to
uphold what our Father demands...

this is a very serious comment, and no, we are not sa, but sharing our REAL feelings...

Maybe we all need to prayer for wisdom that we will learn to
moderate ourselves.

I don't want to be a downer and I do believer in the power of prayer but in my honest opinion that is like asking a group of kids hyped on sugar to sit still and be quietXD
